I ordered this doorbell back in 2017. It was very easy for me to install the transmitter; I drilled two holes through it and mounted it to the outside of my house instead of using double sided tape. It was also very easy to pair the transmitter to the receiver, and I liked having the ability to change the chime and volume of the doorbell. By plugging the receiver in to the second story of my house, I was able to easily hear whenever someone rang the doorbell. The transmitter became discolored from the sun over five years, but it never had any problems surviving the overall mild climate in my area. The receiver stopped working this week, so my doorbell is now useless. I tried plugging the receiver into different outlets but it's dead. Part of me feels like I got good value since the system lasted five years and cost less than $20. But on the other hand, if I could count how many times it actually had to operate over those past five years, I'm a little disappointed that it didn't last longer considering that it was left undisturbed in a fairly pristine indoor environment while the transmitter mounted outside is still going strong. ... show more

I use it as a classroom managment tool. The bell is loud...for a quiet home...but the kids are louder than the bell, even in the loudest setting, lol! It is still very handy, it had so many play options, its hard to choose from. The plastic is a bit flimsy so if someone is rough while ringing the bell, (package delivery guys who ring and run), it feels like it could break, so be sure its mounted properly and flush. It is easy to set up, plug in, press side buttons to find volume and ring type and done (comes with instructions). But i think its very useful to have in the home AND classroom! It is cheaper than other doorbells out there if you dont want the camera setting. ... show more

I bought this for my classroom and it has been a gem. I use it to get students attention between transitions and it works great. I have had it for 3 years and have not replaced batteries in remote yet. Sometimes it doesn't work when clicked but I assume it's almost time for a new battery.
