We were mounting our TV above our gas fireplace and were concerned about the neck cramp for how high it would be to have the required code clearance for the mantel above the fireplace. This is perfect to extend out past the mantel and then down to a normal viewing level to watch a movie. If we want the fire going, we'll just leave it up in its non-extended position. Easy to install, solidly built, and adds a cool "wow" factor for guests that come over. The motor is not fast, but is very quiet and honestly the speed is just fine and with the memory options you just have to click the button once to go down to your set position or back up. Just be aware the manual side angle ability does not angle very much.

We used this as an option for a smaller space. Mounts very securely recommend getting a new set of anchors as the ones that come with this are limited. Appearance is a bit bulky but nothing like this out there that I found better. Easy to use and makes watching closer possible while still keeping the clean look when stored.

Follow the instructions and it’ll be a piece of cake, but mounting is definitely a two-person job since it’s a little heavy. Takes about 30-secs to go all the way up/down, but like others have said, I’d rather wait than worrying about the TV flying off. You can see the bottom of the mount if it’s mounted high, but you can easily paint the plastic cover the same color as the wall and it would blend right in. Lastly, another review mentioned it doesn’t swivel that far left/right, which may be an issue if you have two couches, but for a single couch or sectional, it should be just fine! We’ve been able to swivel it perfectly every time! It does come about 20” total off the wall when it’s fully extended, so if you have a narrow room, I’d recommend a slightly smaller TV (we bought ours after the mount and if it were any bigger, it would just be too close since our room is laid out awkwardly). Our couch is about 5.5-6 feet from the TV when it’s extended all the way down and we have a 65” TV. Any bigger would be way too close, so keep that in mind. Otherwise, love this! I personally have 0 complaints. SO happy with this purchase!!! One last thing, the mount came with every bolt size EXCEPT the one we needed (they were either the right thickness, but too short, or the right length, but too skinny/thick), so you may need to run to the hardware store. We have a Sony.

The product works as intended, however for installation you need studs with 16 inches separation and pray for it to be in the middle where you need the TV; otherwise you have to get creative.

I recently purchased the VIVO Steel Electric 37 to 70 inch TV Wall Mount (MOUNT-E-MM070W) for my living room, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This motorized TV mount has been a game-changer, allowing me to enjoy my fireplace mantle while still maintaining a comfortable viewing experience. One of the standout features of this mount is its incredible range of motion. The motorized pull-down function enables me to adjust the height of my TV effortlessly, ensuring that it's at the perfect viewing level when I'm watching my favorite shows or movies. No more neck strain from having the TV mounted too high above the fireplace! Installation was surprisingly straightforward, although I recommend having a second person to help with the process. Keep in mind that you'll need your own power tools for the installation, but the mount comes with all the necessary parts required to secure it to the wall. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and with two people, we had the mount installed and the TV securely attached in no time. I'm incredibly impressed with the sturdiness of this mount. The media could not be loaded. I bought this item based on ratings and price. Other TV mounts that offered similar features were much more expensive, and having someone come in and install one was just more than I wished to pay. I was pleasantly surprised. The mount is sturdy, well designed and did an excellent job. The hardest part was drilling the holes, since the fireplace is stone. I'd recommend a quality drill bit and a hammer drill to drill the holes in a masonry or rock fireplace. If the fireplace isn't masonry, you'll really want a stud finder. Once the holes were drilled, mounting and set up were simple and quick. I added washers to act as spacers between the bracket and stone to keep the bracket from bending and ensure it was square to the wall. The mount moves quietly and does a great job of lowering the TV from above the mantle to in front of the fireplace. See video- it takes about 30 seconds to deploy or retract. I'd recommend this to anyone.
