This tool worked real good on my subaru forester. You can see the ball joint fits between the two tines and there is a little ball under the nut that fits in the tiny indent on the ball joint, it kept the tool centered.     • Major casting flaws-
First one I received looked like garbage. Zero quality control in China. Major casting fissures and blow holes on the main body and one of the tines. Exchanged for another as I knew if I used it, it would likely break along the casting imperfections. This replacement might work to separate my tie rod / drag link on my jeep without knuckle or thread damage, but its def not for larger trucks and DEF not for removing ball joints like the ad claims.
