This Sherpa roof rack kit from Rugged Ridge includes the roof rack, crossbar adapters, and two 56.5-inch round crossbars. The Rugged Ridge Sherpa Roof Rack was designed to add valuable cargo space above the roofline of JK Wranglers. A true bolt-on installation, the Roof Rack requires no modification to the Jeep's body and features a unique tilt function for convenient access to your hard or soft top. With the Roof Rack system installed, hard top and freedom panels can be added or removed, and the soft top can be easily retracted or raised.

This is a hard review to write. I love the look and functionality of this Sherpa rack but it doesn't play well with my rear Rough Country aluminum fender flares. The curves rear bars are resting against them and scraping off the paint every time I hit a bump. I've spent the last few days trying to adjust them but no luck. The rear mount either hits the bottom of my fender flare or they rest on them. I tried to pad them with some padded adhesive but their is already damage to my fender flares and the rack still rattles. This did hold two kayaks with no issues. Installation was very easy. You do have to drill a hold on the frame on each side but everything else is bolt on. The roof rack tubes are not very strong so you have to be careful when tightening this down cause it will bend. Glad this came with the crossbars. Driving to work today I got to highway speed (60 mph) and there was so much wind noise that I could hardly hear the radio. The rack has also changed the aerodynamics of my Jeep so now the soft top is getting abused. The wind now pushes down on the top of my soft top so badly that I had to slow down for fear that my top might fail due to the stress. As much as I wanted to like this I cannot recommend this. If you have stock flares and a hard top you might like this. I'll be removing this tonight. ... show more

    • It’s not very strong. Super noisy on the road.
Install was pretty simple but the first time I loaded it it bent! 120lb load buckled it. I’m now figuring out how to beef it up somehow. Maybe sleaving at the joints?

    • The perfect rack
Great rack! Everything in it is perfect. Bolt on installation: no need to drill. Took around 4h to install. Very stable, makes no sound or vibraton when I drive. I have my surf boards and my sup fitting perfect.
