This is about the best heavy duty commercial trash can for residential use that I could find. It's small enough to fit into the space I have in my kitchen and small enough to fit the 33-gallon sized trash bags. The trash cans that I was able to find in the stores were not large enough for me and made of flimsy plastic so this one works great. This would've been my third one, but the plastic/rubber is different than ones made in previous years. The material is much thinner than it has been in the past. The cover otoh is still the sturdy plastic that it's been in the past (now sold separately, when in the past it came with the can) . So why they changed the process of blow molding it and then making it much more expensive than past versions is beyond me. ... show more

This would have been perfect except that it is too tall by a couple of inches, to fit under my kitchen counter. Otherwise it would have been a perfect fit. Rubbermaid, could you please make this just 3 inches shorter but the same width at the top so it will fit under a standard height kitchen counter? ... show more
