    • Good for privacy, but how long will it last?

We recently bought a brand new house and wanted extra privacy from our neighbors. We don't have our own fence on that side of our property, but we have a large metal awning stabilized with thick poles that have approximately 6-7 feet between them. The decision to buy this privacy shade was based on extensive research and we are generally happy with it so far. Bought a bunch of zipties and went to work, took about 40 minutes or so to cover the area we wanted with some overlap of the extra material. We like the fact that there are 4 grommets in each corner and the blockage is definitely accurate. You have to come very close to the screen to see anything and even then, you can barely see through it. If you double up, it will completely block with no seepage. However, as we were tying up one of the corners, the fabric started to tear near one of the grommets and we have some concern over whether or not that will compromise the screen staying up over time. It works for now, but we really hope the material will stand up to all the inclement weather (rain, heavy winds, bright sun). ... show more

I ordered this as a screen I could hang above my garden to protect the plants from the sun. The summers have been growing in heat intensity and the soil is an ongoing process not fully ready to support my garden during a drought & it’s all I can do to keep my garden alive. This screen is doing its job but it’s a bit too light restricting for constant use so it only goes up for heat spells. It was designed for fencing or visibility issues & it would be perfect for that application. Strong reinforcements along the perimeter & nice grommets for physical connections. I use carabiners to connect to eye hooks for ease installing & take down. Overall it’s a good product. ... show more

First let me start by saying, "what a fiasco" The order and time frame delivered was spot on, however, my package was delivered "somewhere out there". USPS notified me that the delivery was made, checked the front door, nothing, checked my cameras, nothing. I wrote a not deliverable item to Royal Shade and stated what had happened, they immediately responded and without hesitation resent the items, this time I got them!! this worked our perfectly as a corner protection on a horse stall! it provides shade , wind protection but let's air in it has been highly complicated by the staff it's looks cool and provides the proper protection. the sizing was perfect i am not sure how this will hold up in the california summer sun but at the reasonable price I would expect at least 2 years! if it goes longer that's a plus !!' ... show more
