Great little device. Way better that the knob versions, to me anyway.. I only use this around the house and for that, it's perfect. Fiddle with it for 2min and you'll easily figure out how to use it. Directions are unnecessary. And I'm by no means an electrician, nor do I have vast experience with these lol. It's one of those thing for me where I never need it, until I need it. And this one does it all, and automatically.. For basic needs around the house, this one is great. And it looks cool. And it's small and light. 682 Backlit Color Screen version: Not a bad little auto-ranging DMM. Not the best not the worst. Relatively accurate. Price-point makes it palatable. A bit slow in its measurements but useable. Difficult to use in bright light. Forget sunlight entirely. I'd classify this as 'hobbyist' grade. If you need perfect precision and accuracy, buy a Fluke.

I work in the equipment rental industry. Spend the morning putting this through multiple test on multiple units. was great being able to from a dc voltage test to a continuity test with having to reposition and change the dial. The rechargable factor is going to a plus in the field since i dont ahve to find batteries if they die. The size is another bonus we put the quality of it next to my mac tools.

The price makes this an excellent value for a basic DMM. Easy to switch from voltage measurement to resistance measurement (it's automatic). Brightness and accuracy are both great. Includes flashlight. What more could you want?

It’s not a terrible tester but useless outdoors in sunlight really. The screen just doesn’t have the brightness for use outdoors. I have to hold my hand over it and almost cuff my face to read it which makes it basically useless for automotive repair completely. The beeping noises are annoying. As far as testing goes it appears to be fairly accurate. That said it works okay indoors if that is your main use. It can be hard to tell if it’s in the right mode and auto mode can decide you are checking continuity if you are checking low voltage circuits which is annoying really. I suppose I wasn’t expecting auto mode to work well anyway. I really prefer to have a dial to select the mode I’m using just to be sure it’s on the right setting and all that. The whole smart thing is just not helpful compared to a fluke meter and the standard that’s been around for years. Of course this is much less than a true rms fluke any day so you can’t expect the same experience. I’d just say to buy a better one like a fluke if you have the means to do so, there will be way less headaches with a quality product like those.

Powered on and NO BACKLIGHT. Charged up and still NO BACKLIGHT. I do not see an on off for the backlight. Returning for full refund. Waste of time!
