This is a simple platform and good for this beginner to weight training. I was concerned about my foot slipping for certain exercises, but that hasn't happened; it's non-slip surface works well. The only reason I gave this a 4-star is because the bottom attachment to raise the lever doesn't stay attached very well. I find this frustrating when I want to move the assembled higher step and the bottom falls off. Otherwise, it's a good size and allows me to do everything I need to do in my workouts.

I am giving this 3 stars because of quality and strength. The legs are never going to go on without a fight and a rubber mallet. I’m tempted to just throw them away. The center “gives” when you step on it. I am avoiding the center. I am giving this 5 stars because I like it and NEED it anyway. I need a low, no legs, platform to step on / off to build some cardio and strengthen the muscles that support the bad knees. I am avoiding stepping on the center. I step near the ends as they seem strong and steady. I am Also giving it 5 stars because I needed something small that won’t take up space. I started on a low count and it immediately got my heart pumping. Low, flat — step up/down, front facing, left side, right side. Again, I really like it. I like the 18-inch length, it is light, easy to move out of the way and it can serve as a low footstool. So, it can be versatile. I am keeping the 3 stars because of my concerns for overall durability.
