    • Very Good Product With a Few Issues
Nice retracting steps but a few bad installation issues. Pros: Excellent casting and machining of the Brackets and Steps. Smooth, tight operation with no "play" in the joints. The motors are a little noisy but not obnoxiously so. The steps are very sturdy and support two men with no flex. They tuck in very nicely against the body without touching it. This can be a one-man job, with a second pair of hands coming in handy for a few things Cons: The Instruction/Installation Manual should have come on a brown cardboard roller. It's more of a "General Idea" Manual. The hardware installation part is very clear, but the wiring diagram is terrible and difficult to understand. Rely more on your mechanical common sense and you won't waste your time trying to understand the instructions like I did. My wiring harness was not good at all. It's well-made but the wrong length in several areas, both too long and too short. I ended up coiling up a lot of it to get it out of the way and splicing in some extra length on some because they were too short. The manual says Do Not alter the battery wires but there was no other option because it was about a foot short of the battery, even with the shortest routing possible. The part of the harness going across the truck was "almost" too short. It barely made it to the other side and was tighter than I wanted in order to keep it away from moving and hot parts. Come On RC, you can do better than this. Would I recommend buying it? Yes. But be prepared for some tedious alterations. ... show more
