The size and features are great but the side clips are too easy to undo and the plastic is thin. I really like this carrier but that is partly because I have a small, light cat. I think this carrier would not work if you have a pet that moves around a lot or is particularly chonky.

I have a 10 lb cat that has panic attacks when we take him in the car. This carrier helps him to not be as afraid because he can see more of what's going on around him. I can also easily open the door and give him reassurance when he needs it and he doesn't continually scratch to get out. The carrier was easy to assemble and to use. The door on the top does flex a little when he is inside but not enough to compromise the latches on either door. Our other cat is a big boy that is 13 lbs. I wouldn't use the smaller carrier for him. I am looking to purchase the larger carrier for him. ... show more

Perfect to transport/move quail and other small animals. Allows me to do it by myself because of the top loading feature. Top loading is much more comfortable and safe for any animal and so much better than poking them into the front of the cage. The latches are sturdy and effective.
