Description

Gain increased horsepower and throttle response while protecting your engine from harmful particles and debris with Rough Country's Cold Air Intake System. This intake system moves the air filter away from the stuffy engine compartment so cooler air can be circulated into the engine for an increase in power. Cooler air is denser, and brings more oxygen into the combustion chamber to help your vehicle perform at its greatest potential. The cylindrical design and large diameter tube allow Rough Country's Cold Air Intake System to provide far better airflow than the factory air filter enclosed in a box. Each unit includes a premium, reusable air filter that's easy to clean for a long life of great performance. This easy to install device goes on in a snap for an instant increase in performance. Includes our industry leading Limited Lifetime warranty.

  • High Quality and good price!
Arrived a day early and after about 3 hours I had it installed. Good quality and well built. Only a few suggestions: The instructions would be better in color. The plastic fittings should be less fragile. They will break if you are too rough with them. The wrench sizes were different from the instructions on those fittings. There were not 9/16. The clamps didn’t have a slot for a flat head screwdriver instead it was a socket head but worked fine. Definitely adds a throaty roar when you accelerate and makes my exhaust sound more aggressive. Gas mileage has improved but not sure exactly how much just yet. I would buy it again over the higher name brands out there. Update: Gas mileage only improved slightly. Maybe not enough to be worth the price if that’s the only thing you are after. The sound is what I love and to me it’s worth the price for that alone. I’ll be adding the pedal commander soon. ... show more

  • Better than the high priced ones
The install was easy with the exception of one bracket that mounts to the inner fender with the factory sensor. Other than that it is absolutely one great intake and I highly recommend it. I’ve installed and used many of these all across the board and different costs. One of the best looking and sounding intakes with great throttle response. ... show more

  • Good aftermarket product
Please read: Very honest review that will help!!!!!!!! This was an add on to my 2021 Tundra SR5. I wanted something that was fairly economical and would also produce results. Like some of the other reviews the instructions were garbage, i honestly threw them away. So first let me say this: If you don’t know how to work on cars/trucks don’t do this yourself because you could mess it up or worse mess up your vehicle. Secondly, as for the plastic vacuum hose connectors that screw in, they were slightly better than cheep plastic, however, you don’t need to tighten them to the point they will break. They should have been made from stronger material that would be able to withstand the heat, but, they should last a while. Thirdly, the clamps are actually pretty good and again, they don’t need to be over tightened, if so you will warp the rubber connectors. Fourthly, the air filter. This is decent enough but I plan on going with a more reliable one, it seems a little thin to me and would probably let a lot of dust/dirt into the intake. Fifthly, the heat shield and rubber gasket is very good. Putting the gasket on was a little difficult but a nice addition. The mounting of this was easy thanks to the different brackets provided. I recommend that you do this so that it will not vibrate like crazy. Lastly, the actual metal tube that houses your mass air flow sensor. This is extremely important. It will not ( at least mine didn’t ) sit flush in the housing. I had make a makeshift gasket so that air could not seep in or out during operation. And the metal tub does get very hot so I wouldn’t call this a true cold air intake. It will suck in the same warm air your OEM air box did. But this does allow MORE air flow into the intake which is good, and, it has a very nice aggressive sound when you drop the throttle. It has also added a bit more sound to my exhaust as well. The throttle response is a little bit better and you can feel a little gain in HP and torque. It’s not a lot but you can feel it. I don’t know about mpg as I just installed it yesterday(10/14/23) It honestly took me about an hour. I don’t see why it would take others longer. So I hope this helps the next person out. For the money it’s a pretty good deal and investment towards your vehicle if you like this sort of thing. ... show more

Easy install, looks awesome, sounds awesome and I know there’s a tad more power. Get TRD stickers on eBay and bam. Looks legit!

  • Not properly equipped
The barb sizes did not fit my hoses. Bought correct sized barbs and it threw codes for burning too rich. Reset the codes over and over after checking for bad connections and everything else. Went ahead and spent the money for the Volant cold air intake and would you know that it hasn't thrown a code since day 1 and it sounds so much better too. There's a reason that this is so cheap, it's a waste of time and money. ... show more
