Description
HISTORY At the end of the 1980s, Flemming Bo Hansen designed one of the most simple and beautiful digital watches that have seen the light in the world so far. It has been distinguished from other digital watches on the market and since 1990 it has been seen at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The watch follows the principle of simplicity and clear lines. All superfluous is omitted - a watch is left in its imaginable purest form. Nothing is indispensable - nothing is added. Over 10 years after the first release, the watch was presented with its original and simple functionality in new digital and analogue editions. True to the original famous watch. The watch was created according to the proportions of the golden cut. The term describes the relationship between two sizes, which have been considered harmonious among mathematicians, scientists and artists since ancient times. These proportions are available in nature, including our DNS and spirals of shell, but also in architecture and painting worldwide. From Tokyo to New York, Flemming Bo Hansens watches and his face are well known. The working years in the two metropolises characterise its unique design language, whereby it clearly preserves respect for the Danish design tradition. So it is no coincidence that the WATCH watch forms the basis of the Rosendahl WATCH collections and is represented in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Rosendahl's philosophy As a Danish company, our daily work of preservation and creation is strongly influenced by minimalist, Scandinavian design traditions. But we notice that with the abundance of products in today's time, more and more people also show interest in the basic thought and history of design. We focus on the essentials of the product. This means that we consider it important to establish a clear connection between the function and the aesthetic appearance of the factory - our customers must be able to recognise and understand the idea behind it. It does not correspond to our philosophy of creating an exotic piece of illusion and presenting to the customer on the wrist of a star. On the contrary, we think it is necessary to limit our brands to their minimum and let them tell their story themselves. We choose our partners, suppliers, designers and sports professionals based on their aim to create something new and their commitment throughout the process - from the first idea to the finished goods. Every day we strive to be challenged and challenge others to work together with the holistic development of the product. We are all about quality, production, environmental protection and marketing – in short, the entire product cycle. It is important to us to present this philosophy clearly so that everyone will understand why we are so happy and proud to produce these products.
