I decided on these units for the aluminum cross rails and heavy mounting brackets that fit the factory Acura roof rails perfectly.However, once the units are installed, if you have to adjust the cross rails or tighten them, be prepared to stand on your head to get to the very small Torx screws on the underside. Why would you design something like this? How difficult would it be to counter sink these adjusting crews on the TOP of the rack vs. the underside? Other than this ridiculous design issue, the units look very strong and very well made. I would recommend purchasing these vs. the many fiberglass or plastic units that are available. ... show more

    • the Stainless Steel cross bars fit 2014-2019 MDX they need to update the application
Really good quality. Stainless steel looks better than the factory black ones. Quality seams solid and well made. Easy to install, all hardware is included. I needed to install the rails first and then the cross bars. I went with OEM rails. To install both pieces it took myself under one hour. If you are installing just the cross bars I would bet 15 minutes. ... show more

You will need more instructions to attach it. No instructions came with the product. I found a shaky video on Youtube to explain most of the instalation. You will need to remove the screwed in plugs on the car rack first to install.

I bought these crossbars because I thought they looked better than the OEM crossbars from Acura, and these are significantly less expensive than Acura's as well. I am happy with the look. The end caps appear to be highly polished aluminum, and I am curious how they will fare over time. If I can remember I will update my review in a year's time. The only drawback I've found is the wind noise these create, which is considerable when at speed. I've ridden in a 2016 MDX that had the OEM rails and crossbars installed, and didn't really notice a lot of wind noise. The difference in noise level inside the cabin of my 2016 MDX at 65 mph is significant enough that I'm considering removing the crossbars until I know that I'm going to need to haul something on top, which is a shame. They're not terribly difficult to remove and reinstall, but besides buying them for their functionality, I also bought them for their looks, so I will be disappointed to remove them when not needed. The cast aluminum end caps do not fit the extruded crossbars terribly well - there are gaps all around, most significant at the front and rear of the each cap. I'm wondering whether it might be worthwhile to fill these gaps with perhaps a long-life outdoor clear silicone. It can't hurt and perhaps will get rid of much of the wind noise. ... show more
