Took my wife and I about 10 minutes to install on my car after minimal assembly. When assembling, prior to placing on the car, leave the screws on one side of each bar assembly loose so they can be easily fit into the cars slots. Then tighten with the included wrench.

I was looking for aftermarket quality crossbars to install on my 2021 Toyota RAV4. I needed something robust enough to carry my 40 year old 15 ft. Aluminum canoe and saw that these roof crossbars were rated for 260 lbs. I had previously installed aftermarket rails and crossbars I purchased from Ebay on a 2018 RAV4 (that I I use to own) and was not very impressed with the quality of those crossbars. These crossbars are a complete opposite of the Ebay ones! These crossbars are ALL METAL construction with the exception of the plastic covers that “lock” over the crossbar foot and mounting bolts. These bars are heavy duty, install with ease and fit perfectly into the factory mounting holes located under the plastic covers that come installed on the car roof rails. Good installation instructions and there are videos on You Tube available if you are in doubt of your ability to install these yourself. It’s an easy installation and everything you need comes with the crossbars. If you are looking for a pair of “robust” well made, heavy duty crossbars look no further. I don’t think you will be disappointed!

Only concern is how the heavy plastic cover will hold up over time. But everything so far is fantastic, and it was easy to install. Very affordable vs Toyota factory add-on or an OEM part. I am really enjoying this.

The good, the bad-ish, and the somewhat homely. The good: These seem to be sturdy; the metal is heavy gauge, the covers seem to be able to protect the attachment points, the screws are heavy duty. The parts are simple and in a separate package that is easy to open. A very good thing is that the whole kit arrives in bubble wrap pouches that are rubber banded, not glued or taped, so they can be reused or repacked if a return is needed. The box is the only thing taped up but that is not an issue. The bad-ish. The instructions are not written by a native English speaker; okay, we are accustomed to that. They are not difficult to follow BUT they could be improved to be clearer about alignment. The somewhat homely. The rear rail goes on easily, but the front is a bit trickier. I misaligned the attachments for a bit; they attach a little more toward the rear than I first thought. Once I slid them back about an inch they aliened well. The screws are all Allen wrench types, and you MUST not tighten the screws holding the attachment points to the rails until you have everything in place and semi-screwed down. This allows you to jiggle things and ensure everything is aligned properly. Then tighten them all. Some are a bit problematic to reach as they are on the underside of the rails. I have yet to drive far with these and will add more to this report as things progress.

This is an excellent product at a great price. The seller had meticulously labeled each piece for its location and included clear directions which made the layout (and install) quite easy. They fit my 2022 RAV4 great, and I was so impressed with the quality and fit that after I installed my roof racks, I then purchased a second set for a family member. This product comes at a great price, and I appreciate the care you took to pack it well, provide great directions (and spare bolts) if I needed them. I would recommend these again. Thank you.

Was initially concerned that it would not fit as the enclosed instructions said that it was for 2020 to 2023 models. After an email response I was told that the label was printed before the 2024 models were available to check. The hardware is all stainless steel, the rack and rails are nicely powder coated aluminum. The instructions were clear. The process took me about 40 minutes and required only a step ladder to reach the roof. The required Allen wrenches were included and adequate to the task. Very pleased with this purchase. Far less costly than the mfg dealer provided option.
