When I first opened the package, it has a weird plastic smell which I guess isn’t unusual for what the package is. It definitely works tho! I have 6 sections in my hair currently and have had them for a few days now. I can shower and brush my hair like normal. The only issue was the threading tool. My hair is on the thicker side so pulling it through a tiny bead WITH tinsel isn’t easy. The tool broke the 3rd section in. I was able to make due by taping it back together but it continues to break. I got a pack of just the threaders and we’re back in business! I recommend, it’s cheap and works, but you may need extra threaders. I’m 19 with shoulder length curly hair and it blends well if placed in the correct places.

These are super easy, it was my first time using them and I followed a youtube video. I liked how vibrant the colors were and how the tie strand method didnt damage my hair. Comes with a good amount of product which is nice for another time or for learning.

I was a little overwhelmed when i received this pack with all the gadgets but once i figured out how to use it i was able to accesorize my kids hair. These work and look great. I would upgrade the tool used for threading of the hair...crochet type hook and loop but the tinsel is strong and lasts. Used on my own hair and another and the looked grand. cut to size and all that. can use diff things to keep them in if you would like too. Recommend these..adds a little something especially during the holidays when these were a big hit.

I really like this look. It’s subtle but still makes a statement. I also love the different colors that come in this set. I had to dust off my old AG doll since my daughter was terrified I would scalp her or something. So we got Kirsten to show this tinsel off. It takes some practice and the instructions are pretty awful and difficult to follow. I would definitely go into this watching a few instructional videos first. It took me 3 attempts and several more partial failed attempts to get it where I was okay with the placement. But it’s tricky finding a spot on a doll’s head where the little ring doesn’t show but the hairs are visible. It might be different on a human’s head. The hair strand quality seems really nice. It’s soft…like seriously so soft. Also I was able to successfully straighten it with a normal hair straightener, I started out on low-140°F and worked my way up a tiny bit and it straightened immediately. I would NOT trust a straightener on med or high! This set comes with 14 different color tinsels and 3 different color silicone rings: blonde, brown and black. It also comes with a case, a set of decent angled pliers, a tiny crochet hook (more of a latch hook), a wire threader thing and a hair clip for sectioning. Overall I’m happy with the quality of this kit and it’ll be fun to use for parties and holidays.

I am not very skilled with hair at all and I was surprised how easy these were to use. It did take a few tries to get them positioned like I envisioned and hide the band, but not difficult. It looks very pretty especially when the light catches it. My young daughter found it to be comfortable and thought it was super fun. I love all the colors it comes with that you can choose some. You could pair with your favorite sports colors to support your favorite team/school. The strands are quite long so if you have long hair they look great and are easy to trim for shorter hair. It's a fun accessory and comes with lots of supplies to create many looks over and over.
