Let me preface this by saying that I'm not a tattoo artist, professional or otherwise, merely an artist who has sometimes been asked to design and help implement tattoos both permanent and temporary and who is hoping will be able to do a better job of that in future with this tool. That said, this is a pretty neat tool. It does come with five sheets of tattoo paper, so you can test it. The first thing you'll need is some artwork, preferably line art because this prints one color and not a gray. So what you need is basically an outline. You'll also need to download the software from Rongta for your computer, tablet, phone, etc. The printer can hook up via either bluetooth or cables and work through android, Windows or Mac. I found the sofware at Rongta.com/f81s which had all the drivers, plus the manual. It was easy to install and from there, it was easy to use my art software to print a picture. I got the scale wrong on the first try, but that was on me. The print was sharp and worked beautifully. There were directions on the paper how to use it and I just pulled off the backing sheet, then slotted it into place and the printer took care of things from there. Note: if you're a neophyte, like me, you should know that you'll tattoo stencil transfer gel to apply your printout to human skin. Also note that it only includes a few sheets of the thermal transfer paper. That said, it includes all the cables required, a nice storage bag and box. It's small, light, and portable and is rechargeable and can used cable free on battery power and with bluetooth, making it very portable indeed. Overall, I'm seriously impressed with the quality of the print and how easy this thing is to use while being so small and conveniently portable. It's a very powerful little package
