I put this stereo in a 2014 Ram 1500. The installation was easy but had some issues connecting to CarPlay. Talked to Levi through WhatsApp and he was very helpful and patient leading me through the connection process. It turned out that Tracfone doesn’t support Hotspot which I needed so I switched to Visible. Bluetooth and WI-FI connected right off the bat and now so does CarPlay. It’s called T-Link on the stereo app. I just wish that other companies had customer service that Levi gives. I had trouble getting the volume buttons to light up at night. I found that if you turn the illumination dimming down a little while the truck is running they come on (see video). Once again, Levi was much help and had plenty of patience with me! ... show more

I installed this in a 2014 Ram Big Horn Edition. It took me about 2 hours to install the radio, this includes the updates it made after I powered it up. I took my time to make sure everything was hooked up correctly. I'm glad I did as I had very few issues when I turned it on. The instructions that are sent with the radio are not helpful, you will need to have a basic understanding of how things work or watch a few YouTube videos for an easy install. If you have a Sirus radio as I did you will not hook this cable back up as Sirus will no longer function. I'm only giving it 4 out of 5 stars because I lost the functionality of my center console USB port. And the screen can be hard to read in direct sun. Tip: to reboot the radio you will need to remove the negative cable from your battery. I did this after it updated, and it really improved the performance of the radio. Think of it as a tablet or phone that now controls your radio. The good The radio is very responsive, using the USB or Bluetooth. All the apps work as they should, including Car Play. The OEM backup camera works great, at least mine did. The Bad My center council USB no longer functions. I checked the cable, as instructed by the seller and it was still attached but that didn't help. I did see a video online from another radio that they actually sent an update for the center console USB hub. There is a small temperature icon that appears with my truck that you cannot adjust to Fahrenheit it's in Celsius. The seller told me there is no way to change this setting. Your truck may not display this, mine does. The screen can be hard to see in the sun, I have a screen protector on order. The reviews I've seen have indicated that this helps. The installation is easy! The stereo however is TRASH! I’ve been installing stereo systems for over 20 years and have never seen such poor quality in my life. Takes forever for Apple car play to connect and when it does it is staticky, and skips like an old CD. The sound quality is trash. No matter how you adjust the equalizer. The only thing good about it is the bigger screen! I will more than likely reinstall my factory head unit. I recommend saving your money and buy a factory head unit that has the bigger screen! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ONNTHIS HEAP OF TRASH! ... show more

All in all the system isn’t bad…. The CarPlay is kinda mehhh it’s under a different name not easily found phone calls don’t work with it at all from my experience. The equalizer settings are horrible and hard to set to a good equal setting where the bass isn’t blowing all your speakers lol the one thing I will say is it does look nice in the truck but the operating system just isn’t worth it making phone calls are a huge deal for me. I was a bit hesitant on purchasing this being a Android Screen but it’s awesome. The bezel that it came with looks great in the truck. The screen is so easy to install i did not even look at the instructions. All wires are labeled accordingly. Would i buy again? yes i would. The one weird thing i have noticed with the screen is no matter how you tune the equalizer, the sound is a bit muffled but completely clears up as you turn the volume up. If you are using an aftermarket amp just keep the HU equalizer at FLAT and the amp itself should fix this. ... show more

Loved the size the look but then trying to get the screws in was a nightmare due to the holes being way to small then when I went to turn it on it won’t turn on I don’t know if it’s the fuse or something internal but it won’t connect at all even though everything is plugged in

This item worked out well. I was having issues getting the OEM camera to work and their customer service was amazing at helping me find the wires I needed to connect make it work. Don’t hesitate to reach out to them for support if needed because they will certainly provide it.
