I needed a set of incandescent lights to put around a palm tree for winter protection. Didn’t care about color as they are covered with a cloth to trap heat. These would well as they generate enough heat but do not burn the plant. This ponytail palm was my mom’s and is over 40 years old became too large to repot or move in and out….i live well north of Florida so have to protect from freezing in winter. These lights would work well for Halloween decorations as well there is a nice orange glow and a nice hook on each bulb for attaching. We still like putting up these types of lights. Unfortunately, they do not sell any longer in any store by me. Luckily Amazon has them. My husband was very happy to get them as he needed more to complete the outside christmas decoration.

I purchased these because I hoped that string lights with the easily replaceable bulbs would be an eco-friendly alternative to traditional string lights. The strand broke within a couple months. I tested the bulbs on a different base and they still work. But, the string is shot.

I can’t say that I’m truly unhappy. Because the lights are really pretty.. They’re incandescent, which is exactly what I wanted… It’s very hard to find incandescent anymore. The world has gone to LED which I do not like. However, I bought two boxes total about $50 and a total of five bulbs did not work. So now I have to spend more money to buy more bulbs. The couple of extra bulbs that they gave you in the box are brighter than the ones that I originally got. So I have them up on the patio and the five bright ones on the end stand out. I tried to find a place on Amazon where I can just have the five bulbs replaced. I would have to return the patio lights that are now hanging up. So yes, I was a little disappointed. I also noticed in the reviews another customer had the same problem. It must be a common occurrence . ... show more

I am really loving the look of these...they are kind of classic gingerbread pastels. I appreciate the white cord for hanging on all the exterior white trim. They seem warm to the touch for me...and house material next to them do get warm. They might be not so hot because we are using outside. I used a form by hand thumb tack by locktite to keep them away from any surfaces. I might order more because theya re so cute, but I will see how them hold up over a couple days. I have not read the packaging to see if they are UL listed or the full description.5 strands up for a week and two bulbs are already out. These are for real lights that are nice and bright, a mix of color, and easy to hang. They take a night light bulb, and you can get loads of colors. Best part if one goes out the rest stay on.
