Lowest height is higher than expected. Doesn’t match the description of adjustable height. Was going to return, however, could not disassemble it to put it back in the box in which it was received. I donated it to a doctor who is helping Ukraine.

I bought this to get around the kitchen when I was non weightbearing and had a cast on my foot. I especially like the foot rest and the fact that it goes higher than most others. I can adjust heights easily enough, and do so while sitting on it or just slightly rising up. It is very nice for doing counter work. The only bad thing was the poor quality wheels that other reviewers have also mentioned. I replaced them with the #1 selling wheel set on Amazon and now it rolls very nicely. I do remove my sink area floor matt for more ease of movement. However, changing out the wheels added about $40 to the cost. But leg recovery issues made it worth it and now I have a good stool. ... show more

Overall the stool is fine. I would give it an average rating and will break down some stats below. Assembly: 5 stars (super easy). Quality: 3.5 stars Finish: 1.5 stars Assembly was super easy, there are basically 3 pieces that are just placed together, the seat cushion, the hydrolic, the base. No screws, nothing really that even snaps in, all of the pieces are just press fit together. Cushion: 4.5 stars this was actually pretty solid, a leather exterior (possibly pleather, not really sure). It was sewn up evenly and looked pretty much as expected. Quality seems solid, but time will be the real test. Hydrolic: 4.5 stars this again seemed very solid, my only concern with this portion is that it was entirely press fit, probably not a huge deal but I would feel more comfortable with some sort of fastening system to ensure everything stays in place. Movement was smooth and clean. Base: 1.5 stars this is where the stool really suffers. It appears to be an aluminum base which is fine. But there are dings and scuff marks all over it. This isn't really a huge deal in regards to function, but certainly not an appealing sight. On top of that the casters are very poor. Seem to be made of a cheap plastic caster, I suspect they won't last long. While they were fine on smooth solid surfaces like linoleum, they really failed pretty hard on surfaces like carpet, even a very short dense carpet. I suspect simply replacing the casters later will resolve the caster issue and is likely something I will end up doing in the near future. Overall, I think it will do the job just fine other than the casters which I will end up replacing. It's not the best looking stool, I wish they had done a better job finishing the base. And honestly I'm fine with them using cheap casters to reduce costs as I can always go out and buy new casters that fit my needs easily enough. But I can't really do a good job of refinishing the stool base. It should be a solid stool for use on hard floors (garage, office with wood/tile floors, etc...). Expect to probably need to replace the casters at some point, but other than that the construction seems pretty solid, even though it may lack a bit in appearance. ... show more
