It gets the job done. We were able to put it together no problem. Issue is the back of the chair. The cable that controls the locking mechanism gets stuck on the pump and people fall back when that happens. But if you try to put the cable around the bar that’s down there, it doesn’t ever lock; I still don’t understand why that happens. I solved it with a loose zip tie so it doesn’t get snagged on the pump but still hangs below the bar, and is still able to lock when needed. It feels pretty cheap (wiggly) but no issues outside of that. You get what you pay for. If you want a chair for professional use, keep the zip tie trick in mind (at home too I guess lol), and save up for an official barber chair. But it fits into my shampoo bowl, it pumps up, and has a head rest if you need it (which I did and it gets the job done). Great for a starter chair or at home chair. ... show more

Chair is very sturdy and stylish. The seat is wide making it perfect for clients of all sizes. The recliner and headrest makes it even better being that I am short and my clients like to take naps at times. It’s definitely worth the price but it was a little difficult to put together.
