You may have tightened the gas rod too much, causing the control system to malfunction. You only need to leave 4 to 6 threads exposed on the outside. Please refer to our troubleshooting video. Why does my hydraulic pump go up and down in opposite directions? You installed the foot lever in the wrong direction and position. Please refer to our installation video for troubleshooting. I love this chair and so do my clients. It’s beautiful and very strong. It’s comfortable and can accommodate very heavy and tall people. The chair doesn’t wobble even when reclined!! I was so excited that the chair arrived earlier than expected. I watched the videos to see what tools were recommended, they recommended using a drill to tighten the bolts. It was fairly easy to put together but use care after installing the chair back don’t tighten the middle bolt or 2little screws yet. To install the gas pump attach the first end then when you get to the other side it will not fit don’t touch any screws on the gas pump!!! Instead move the chair back until you get the correct position and the gas pump will fall in place. Attach and tighten all screws and bolts. My chair didn’t work because I adjusted the screws on the air pump. I contacted the company they responded very quickly to address my issue. They offered some solutions to help me and requested videos so they could determine the problem. I watched videos and read solutions and I was able to correctly install my chair. The company’s customer service was excellent they truly stood by their product and cared that they make the consumer happy and satisfied. I would definitely recommend this chair!! If it doesn’t work it’s probably not installed correctly and not the company’s fault but contact them and they’ll offer a solution. ... show more

Nice looking chair. However there was a problem assembling the chair. The L brackets when put on made the screws to short to tighten in. Three of the eight hole the nut in the seat was set too deep. This caused the screws not to catch. Not to mention directions said the gas lift attached to the base metal plate should be do with a Shear pin locker. That part was not there. So after two days I am still not complete this simple assembly. ... show more
