Pros: Spinal measurement very accurate, helping to give a well-placed massage (at only 5’ it’s great to have the massage go from my tailbone to my neck...not up to the back of my head!) Sturdy, comfortable, high quality materials used. Lots of great features like Zero gravity, heated back, 4 preprogrammed settings, easy access pocket for the remote, deep tissue massage if preferred, which I do, but adding the included cushions, would give a lighter touch if desired. More compact than I anticipated so it fits nicely in the corner of my bedroom. So relaxing & helpful in relieving tired, achy muscles & sore feet...even reduces my arthritis pain! Runs great, even using it 2-3 times a day. Cons: My husband has broad shoulders (Size XXL shirts) & his back is too wide to comfortably fit in it. ... show more

This was a huge step for me in getting a GOOD massage chair. I was on Amazon and this chair just kept popping back up. I purchased it, had alittle difficulty with the shipping end, which the company made right immediately!!! This chair has helped with so many health issues with my back. Degenerate disk disease, scoliosis, fibromyalgia, arthritis, carpel tunnel, and I’ve only had this chair for less than a month!!! I recommend this chair for everyone. It helps you sleep better ( starting with falling asleep in the chair), reduces stress, calms you, and this chair attacks knotted muscles. I don’t know how I’ve lived so long without this chair!!! It’s perfect!! It has heated seat, air bags that squeeze your feet and massages the bottoms at the same time, squeezes your calves, forearms and hands, and air bags that squeezes your shoulders!! Nobody is the same shape or size, keep this in mind. At 5' 11" and 220lbs I find the chair does amazing work on me especially in the winter as the chair puts out fantastic heat during a massage. Later versions likely have a better arm trough for arms to rest "in", think very shallow depression as being ideal, as in this version, the arms rest on a flat area. I hold my arms against the sides for the compression to work properly, and with the arms pressed against the edge . . . all is well great value for the price. I'm looking to upgrade soon. Me & my Hubby love this chair. It’s been a month since we bought it. I got this as a Father’s Day gift for him. He is usually picky with things but this chair he loved it. It’s on the expensive side but worth the money. I use it every morning as soon as I am out of bed. It helps with my morning stiffness. Hubby use it after work. He likes zero gravity n he always falls asleep in the chair it’s that comfortable. It has all the features & all seems to working very well. Thanks Medical breakthrough.     • Does It Work?
Have you ever had a friend that bought a new product, and was so excited that he won’t shut his yapper about it? Well, that's my friend, Tom. And even though he lives 200 miles away, he talked me into buying this chair because he loves it so much. I got the chair and it works. I get horrible neck and shoulder pain. This chair does a great deep tissue massage around the neck and shoulders, relieving soreness and breaking up knots. The rollers hit several sore areas all at once. And when you close your eyes you just want to doze off. It makes me sleepy when I use it. My favorite part is the removable pads that are included with the chair. I like deep tissue massages around my neck, but everywhere else I'm a light weight. Most chairs are too strong for me because of my injuries. When I first started using the Breakthrough 4, I'd lower the intensity of the chair with the remote, and the massage wasn't soft enough. But Medical Breakthrough already had a solution for that -– they include comfort pads with every chair for people like me who want soft massages. I put the pads all over my lower back and calves, and this gives me the most relaxing massages. I love light massages, but my brother, on the other hand, loves strong massages. He doesn't need any of the pads, and since they are removable he just takes them off. Like I said, I hate to admit when Tom's right, but I have to thank him. It took him 6 months to talk me into getting a Breakthrough 4, and I'm grateful he did. This chair can really help people suffering from neck, shoulder and back pain everyday. Could not ask for a finer message chair for the money. The chair is built with quality materials and is sturdy, the function hand control is easy to use and has an array of features. When the chair is running the motors are very quiet and perform perfectly. The chair itself fits my body like glove and is very comfortable from the minute I sit in it, with a variety of additional cushioning if needed. The massage itself is very soothing, being able to set the intensity of the compression bags on my legs and arms makes it even more enjoyable experience. I know there are many more brands lower&higher priced chairs available in the market but, after purchasing and using this model I could not have made a better choice and am completely satisfied with my purchase from day one. ... show more
