These rolling grill cages keep small items from falling in between the grates! You can cook more of your meal now! The handles do stick out of the grill and you have to keep the lid open. Next time I will leave the handles off and turn them with my tongs. The cap stays on well. Clean-up can be a bit challenging, but you can also put them in the dishwasher after scrubbing as much as you can. It's nice that you can squirt basting liquid in through the sides without opening the lid.

First Impressions of LANEJOY Rolling Grill Baskets with Handle (11.2" x 3.9"), 2 PCS Stainless Steel Rolling Grilling Basket for Outdoor Grill, Portable Grill Nets for Vegetable Shrimp Chicken, Barbecue Accessories Gift ★★★★★ I am rating this product easy 5-stars, time saver, sturdy, durable, easy to use, easy to clean, affordable. Read on for details. This product is ingenious. In my later years, I’ve developed a condition that limits my ability to digest meat – to make this concept easy to understand, let’s say I’m allergic to meat. When I host or attend cookouts at my friends’ and family’s, it’s all about the burgers, chicken, ribs, steaks. Well, I can’t have any of that. They always seem to forget that I can only eat veggies. LANEJOY to the rescue! Assembly is a flash. It took less than 30 seconds to screw twist the handles into the threaded basket. The ring hooks are for grabbing the lid loops when they’re hot. The lid rotates and twists to secure and open. This grill basket holds a lot of veggies. Before getting this product, I would take the time to Veggie Kabobs. However, that was immensely time consuming, as sending the skewers through the cut chunks of veggies sometimes required extra force. I was able to fit a pound of Normandy style cut veggies into the SMALL basket with extra room to spare. Cleaning is fairly easy - If I’m outside, I just spray them down with the water hose; or I can just throw these stainless steel baskets into the dishwasher. I haven’t had them long enough to know how well this will stand up to rust over time - especially exposing to high heat multiple times. The beauty of this product is that everything fits and nests into the large basket. The large basket is roughly the size of a roll of paper towels that’s ¾ full. The construction is above average – everything feels solid to me and not many rough edges. The top ring near the lid has a slightly rough sheet metal edge and probably could cut if I slashed my finger across it – however, that would be someone deliberately looking for trouble. I don’t foresee anyone putting their finger and drawing it across on that edge, especially if it is hot. The chicken wire mesh is finished well - no sharp edges. In my experience, over time the heat may cause the metal to degrade. With this basket, I can now easily pre-prep my own grill-out food without troubling my host(s) or at my own BBQ – plus promote a healthy plant-based side dish for all my friends and family. These baskets are not necessarily exclusive for vegetables only – this can be used for just about anything that fits inside the basket. Thanks for reading and hope this helps.

I used this grill basket on the grill and while it kept food from burning it really dried out the food. I tried grilling potatoes and onions and it just seemed to dry them both out. I also tried cucumber slices and it also dried that out as well. It's a great idea but doesn't work very well.

I really like the idea of using these baskets for grilling vegetables. They are a great alternative to using a veggie tray and help to ensure even cooking. Overall, the quality of the baskets is good. However, the smaller basket's lid did not fasten securely and would just fall off. I was able to fix this by slightly bending the tabs that hold the lid on. The handles seem sturdy enough, but it is not possible to close the lid on the grill unless you have a large grill and place the handles parallel to the front. The handles screw in, so I plan on unscrewing them and rotating the baskets with tongs or just screwing them in enough to give them a turn and then unscrewing them again.

I love grilled veggies and this is such a simple way to grill them and not lose any while turning them over. So far the lids on top seem pretty secure and they hold quite a bit. I thought that closing the lid of the grill would be a problem, but surprisingly the lid sits okay on the handle (obviously there is a little gap still).

We love cooking veggies on the grill: onions, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots... you name it, we'll grill it! But it's tricky, since things fall between the bars on the grill. I've tried foil, pans, and baskets, as well as a sheet of re-usable metal, similar to foil. All come with some downsides. This rolling basket takes the best aspects of some of the other solutions and improves on them. You get two cylinder baskets, one slightly smaller so they can fit together for storage. There isn't really any assembly or anything required. Just attach the handles, throw in some veggies, and you're ready to go. Unlike pans and foil that I used in the past, these rolling baskets allowed me to toss and turn my vegetables, getting a more even cooking without worrying that I'd drop them through the holes in the grill. The outside of the basket isn't sharp, so it's pretty easy to handle. It's dishwasher safe according to the instructions, but I just handwashed mine to be on the safe side - it's more like cleaning a grill, so it didn't need to be perfectly sterile. Overall, I'm very happy with these. Current asking price is $25, which is a good deal, in my opinion. If you like cooking vegetables on your grill, this is a great purchase!
