After an extensive (and exhaustive) research, we ended up purchasing this cover for our truck. So far, we couldn't be happier! The trick to this cover, is to have it professionally installed! If you own a Ram truck, be advised that the bed area is not completely squared. Which, means that the cover may look slightly crooked after installation. What we love most about this cover, is that it has extra latches that lock onto the tailgate when closed. Also, if you park your truck outdoor, make sure that you rinse/condition the cover top around once a month. And, use the included lubrication that comes with the cover on the tracks, so the cover doesn't bind and/or stick. If you can do regular maintenance on this cover, it will serve you well. ... show more

    • Installation instructions need some written instructions
Installed on 2018 Dodge Ram 2500. While the installation was relatively easy, the directions were all pictographs, no written directions. Additionally, there weren’t enough screws provided to put three in each side and hit all the pre-drilled holes for the back rail.

    • Hands down, best cover out there. Period.
This is my 3rd roll n lock tonneau cover. The fit on the Ram classic 1500 is not quite as clean as it is on our previous two trucks (fords) but that’s me just splitting hairs. This updated version doesn’t require a track to be screwed onto the tailgate like older versions so you don’t have to worry about damaging the catching mechanism. Tailgate can still be opened with the cover locked. It opens and locks in more than one position. I’ll never own another brand or type of cover. Period. Expensive, yes. But considering your tools, or luggage can be stored with 100% certainty of theft or damage, the price becomes moot. And it takes up far less room in the bed of the truck than any other cover I’ve seen. Not to mention it so easy to use. Will buy again for the 4th truck I end up getting. ... show more

I just recently installed my bed cover and so far it has been awesome, it feels super secure and doesn't make a sound when I drive. I haven't noticed an impact on my gas mileage at all so there is that. You do have to drill into your truck bed but it is easy with the self tapping screws. As for water proofing I am not sure because we have been having a bit of a dry spell but I don't expect it to have a perfect seal. I think that the instructions could be written better so that all the screw identification and rail orientation is in one packet but if you actually pay attention while going through the steps you will be fine. I do recommend watching the install video too but don't use that for your sole source of instruction because it leave a few details out. ... show more

    • Cumbersome, Poor Design
While it seemed like a cool idea at first, after 2 hours of drilling and installation I realized that this product severely limits cargo area and versatility of the truck bed. You are required to mount a small aluminum bar on the normally flat surface of the tailgate, so don't expect to slide anything into the bed of the truck easily. This part is required in order for the cover to latch, lock and seal properly. Speaking of sealing, this cover never successfully did that either. There was constant leaking of water down both sides and through the tailgate, even after adding caulk and weather stripping to try to alleviate the issue. If you live in icy or snowy climates, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! This cover relies on undersized drains at the bottom of the roll-up storage in the bed to remove water that falls onto the cover. These drains clog up from a single leaf and are a huge pain to clear. Add to that snow and ice and you've got 3 inches of solid ice at the bottom, and a tonneau cover that won't open when you need it to. I reamed out the 1/2" holes (at best) to almost an inch wide and added much bigger tubes, but they continued to clog and fill the enclosure with water. While this may seem like a neat idea, I strongly recommend a simple Truxedo vinyl roll-up cover. Those have lasted me years on previous trucks and are what I will be replacing this with in the very near future. ... show more
