  • If you're not sure, buy it! If you're not sure, buy it!
I hardly leave reviews unless something blows me away, and this little sub did just that. I have a 2025 Mazda 3 hatchback with the trash stock 6 speaker system that had basically zero bass. I was truly looking for the Cerwin Vega shallow sub because I heard it's better. After waiting and waiting for it to be in stock, the company not answering my emails, I decided to bite the bullet and buy this Rockville one, even though most people said to stay away from Rockville for some reason. This is my first purchase from them. When I say I was BLOWN AWAY by the sound of this thing, it's truly a game changer from my stock speaker system. Now don't get me wrong, you're not gonna be rattling windows of buildings. You can barely even hear it outside the car. But you will feel the bass inside your car. My mirrors shake. The seats vibrate. Drums can be felt in your chest. It bumps for a little sub. I have the gain at about the 12 o'clock position, and the bass boost all the way down. It blends perfectly with my stock speakers which is exactly what I wanted. Installation was a breeze, but I think that's just because my car was easy to work with. This goes for all 2020+ Mazda's from what I can find. Ones that have the factory Bose system are a little different though. Check YouTube for some install videos. My only "complaint" really would be that the wiring kit that it comes with doesn't come with any extra crimp connectors. I messed up the power cable's crimp and I had to go run to the store and buy a new one. Would be nice if they just threw in some extra butt connectors and crimp connectors. However for the value I understand only giving the required amount. All the other spare tire subs out there you would have to buy your own wiring kit. The sound and value for your money are top notch here. I highly recommend buying it if you're on the fence about it. I can't speak to longevity yet since I've only had it for two weeks, but I did also buy the warranty from Amazon just in case it breaks. Well worth the investment in my opinion. ... show more

  • Sounds good and stealthy
Works very well. Installation was very easy and it sounds good. Not too much bass but just enough. Wasn’t sure if it would fit in my spare tire but it did. Have a Subaru forester without a full size spare. It still fit perfectly. Only thing I had to do was find a new home for my jack and tools. After trimming the foam insert the tools were in it fit perfectly on top of my foam right under the floor. Can’t even tell I have a subwoofer installed. ... show more

  • Affordable and well thought out bass
Best Bang, or BOOM, for your buck. Kicks hard, has adjustments at your finger tips, and includes amp kit. Can't beat that. I first doubted, but wanted to hear it for myself, and now I'm a believer. Good job Rockview!

  • Best bang for the buck. 2021 Nissan rogue sport Best bang for the buck. 2021 Nissan rogue sport
Great entry sub. Fit perfectly in my wife's 2021 Nissan rogue sport. The factory system didn't sound good. I installed kicker speakers. Helped some. The sub really helped it all around. Only have it about a quarter of the way up. Pretty powerful for what it is and for the price. Also, helped with putting heavy things in the back and not having it cave in the spare tire spot. Had Best Buy install it for about $150. The installer thought it was pretty cool it had the amp integrated in it and the construction of it. Only thing I dislike was the wing nut for the sub hold down. I found the thread pitch and ordered a M8-1.25 knurled thumb nut from Amazon for around $8 for a pack of 5 unfortunately. The wing nut was about 1/2 in long. The knurled thumb nut was about half of that. 1/2 tall. Had to cut about 1-3/4 in of the end of the rod for it the clamp the sub down. Did that before I took it to Best buy to test fit it to make sure it would work. Great all around product for the money. Got everything done for around $400. JBL has a similar system. But, starts around $550. ... show more

  • Well worth it! If you think you want it buy it!
I've been looking for something to add bass to my vehicle without sacrificing space. Many years ago I had 2 - 12s and this is nothing like that. However, it will shake your mirror if you want it to. I like that it's easy to adjust without having to constantly go back to the amp and mess with it like you would with a trunk full of speakers. This is also nice if you are out later and don't want to wake the neighbors. You can tell it's very well made and a lot of thought was put into the design. Install took me about 2 and a half hours. The worst is always running the power wire through the firewall. But after that it was a breeze. Highly recommend for anyone who wants that little extra you can't get from even aftermarket door speakers. ... show more

  • Solid little unit
Good, solid kit that includes very nearly everything you could need to install it - including wiring, butt splices, and ring terminals. You'd only need a line out converter or splices terminals. The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because installing as intended (inside of the my spare tire), it rattles horribly against the rim of the spare, and sits a little too high in the wheel, preventing the floor panel that covers it from sitting flush against the floor itself. Otherwise it's very easy to install, it's not nearly as expensive as similar options(JBL'S is $400-$500), and it sounds great. No distortion when tuned properly and very easy to relocate or remove outright as necessary, given that its an all-in-one unit that isn't meant to be hard-mounted. ... show more

  • Spare tire boom box
Got my item early and installed it in my Audi SQ5 install was so simple and quick due to battery location sound is great good bass and easy adjustment only had to run to home depot to get a 8” long 14mm bolt and big flat washer to hold unit in place using the vehicle treaded hole the bolt that came with unit was too small for my application but unit gives great bass for what it is how long it will last only time will tell ... show more

  • Above and beyond customer service !
The sub sounds great. It fits inside my 16” spare. Assuming all the components are in working order, installation is simple. Here’s where my story begins… I wanted to save a few dollars so I bought a preowned unit. When it arrived the speaker seemed to be in fine condition but the wires were obviously previously installed. I SHOULD HAVE hacked off the previous owners connectors and reinstalled my own, but I assumed they were installed correctly. Wired everything up and to my dismay, the speaker would not power on. Devastating. Busted out my volt meter and was finding good voltage all over the unit. Signal wire was reading good, power, ground, all good. Must be a bad unit. I contacted the company and they agreed I should send it back. I asked if I could keep the wires because I had already run them through the car, which was a pain and I didn’t want to tear it all apart again. They said that’s fine. Very practical and understanding of them. Love it. The new unit arrived and I simply popped the plug in. Still no power. Wouldn’t turn on. Checked voltages again everything seemed fine. Now I’m pretty sure this could be on me, not the unit. Contacted the company again and they offered to help me troubleshoot. Super helpful. Lots of communication. Ultimately, the problem was the previous owner of my preowned unit had cooked the power cord and the connection just disintegrated when I gave it a tug. Overall, the speaker sounds great. The volume control remote is handy, but I’m just leaving it in the trunk with the speaker. The price is awesome for what it is. My #1 recommendation though is the company itself. These folks really bent over backwards to help resolve my issue and I’m really thankful to them for that! ... show more
