    • Well designed sleeper sub!
After a ton of deliberation and consideration, I decided to try a small sub instead of a large one. I can say as a musician/producer, this is a *very* musical and great sounding sub. Full disclosure - don't expect it to flex your windows and make you soil yourself. But, it does bump hard, it gets nice and low, and it's general tone is great. It's mounted in between the front seats of a minivan, so my experience will be much better than someone hiding it in a trunk where it can't push enough air to give you the oomph you want. The ported design of the enclosure was a huge selling point because it's just as important as the actual subwoofer. The included bass knob/remote is in a metal case with a quality volume pot, much appreciated. If you want to have a full home hifi experience with the mindset of balance instead of noise violation, you'll love it. PS - if you're a beginner and don't know what wire to get, make sure it's sized appropriately. I used overkill wire for the job, but it guarantees no drop in amperage when a really loud note is played, and it will prolong the life of the internal amp and reduce risk of fire. Overall this is probably the literal best bang for your buck on a ramen budget and minimal loss of vehicle real estate. ... show more

Having been disappointed by a competitor's product, I decided to go with Rockville. This is the second speaker system I"ve purchased from them. The subwoofer worked right out of the box. Great frequency response and tuning. This speaker fills out the low end range and is highly adjustable to your listening preferences. It delivers a nice sound with power to spare. There is no way that this is a true 800 watt it's so misleading ...more like maybe at best 100 watt on this unit I wish I could return this because I am so disappointed in this whole enclosure and sound did not impress me one bit!!...if you want a small bump in you're car and not overpowering bass good luck ! Rockville needs to get a better speaker and amp to do the job this to me was a rip off just saying! ... show more

    • Difficult to install with no instructions
I refuse to pay $250 which is more than the sub to get it installed bc I’m poor. The instructions are relatively non-existent and it’s been a month without me being able to get it installed regardless of the fact I purchased extra tools and wiring kits. Say it’s user error but I have fixed/installed everything else myself so this should not be that difficult. Including propane fireplaces, lights in my kitchen, heating elements, etc. Step 1, step 2, step 3. Not, “get it all together and then do the stuff. Good luck.” ... show more

For the money its awesome!! Its just what I needed to fill in the bass. If want one that will ruin your hearing and that the neighbors can hear down the street then this one isnt for you. But if you want some good bass for INSIDE the car its worth looking at. Best part it fits on the floor behind the seat and doent take up much space. I can still put the seats down if I need to.
