Previous JL Audio 12" subs were good, but still did not hit like I wanted them to hit. This is especially true when I have the top down and am going highway speeds. Fortunately, one of the JL's blew, so I took a shot on these, based on a friend's recommendation. They sounded pretty impressive right out the box, but I gave them some time to break in and, once they did, they sounded fantastic. I have them hooked to a JL Audio RD1000/1 amp. They take what the amp gives and you can feel it in your chest. Lower volumes still produce enjoyable deep bass. Try these. If you have enough clean power to push them, you will like them. I am not sure what they sound like with less power, but I would imagine still pretty damned good. ... show more

I don't care who someone is,(or says they are) or what "high quality" equipment they have. DON'T listen to them if they talk down about these subs! I've heard $25 Pyle subs sound good, powered off some no name amp. I've heard JL's and Sundowns sound like crap powered off some higher end amps. I can't stress this enough, it's all in the set up! I saw Exo's review, and what I did like was when he said that "if you keep these subs under 1000 watts, they'll be fine". So true. And what else, he still went a head and did a give away with them! I have these subs in a Q Power QBOMB12VL box, 2.5 cubic feet per chamber, each sub wired parallel, (down to 1 ohm) and both wired in series to end up with a 2 ohm load. I'm powering them with a Rockford Fosgate R-1200D producing 800 watts on this 2 ohm load. That's 400 watts per speaker. I DO NOT need to push 1000 watts each. This set up sounds amazing. Clipping can DESTROY any speaker, so set your gains right! I don't recommend using any SMD product to do this. Look up how inaccurate the DD-1 really is. Use a multi meter or an oscilloscope if you can. ... show more

2 Rockville W12K6D2 V2 Subwoofers, Rockville db14 4000 watt amp, Rockville 30 farad hybrid capacitor all mounted. Currently wiring in Rockville 4 awg amp kit. Everything was delivered in a very reasonable time frame (about 1 week) through Amazon. Also adding "the big 3 upgrade". Very affordable price & the quality is OUTSTANDING. I have been installing car audio for 29 years. This is in an 04 Mustang trunk, custom box I built tuned to 38hz. I can't wait to hear these things go bump in the night. Home run Rockville. You guys are a great company. Thank you. PLEASE keep your (Affordable) prices with (Great Quality) equipment. All in n this stuff BEATS just do ur math n Have Fun. Update 11-1-20 still beatn hard.     • Loud clear heavy hitting bass for a fraction of the cost!
I gotta day for the price I was very skeptical I’ve been a JL guy for a long time in fact both my amps are JL I have 2 of the k6’s running off my JL 500/1 and let me tell u these things rock I was blown away by the sound out performed my JL W3’s and have hardly any distortion when I’m banging them definitely a customer for life. I can only imagine what the bigger subs sound like, very impressive subs and a very impressed customer will highly recommend to all my fellow bass heads! Thanks Rockville for making a great sub for a fraction of the price of the top name subs out there!! ... show more

Recently purchased a pair and pushing them with TarAmps 3K amp and theyre sounding fantastic! I know they cant handle the 2400 watts claimed so i dont even try to put that much power to them and so far they are taking around 700 watts all day long and never over heat. Only complaint is their customer service is a little slow but eventually my issue was takin care of.. i would recommend these subs to someone on a budget that wants to sound like big boys but not spend like one.. too be continued as ive barely broke these in so well see how they hold up. ... show more

This is a good investment! They are what they say they are, sound quality is amazing! These subs do hit pretty hard and low! I have two on a 1800 watt class d mono block amp with crossover and bass knob, they pound! I have them in a ported q bomb box, perfect combination for these! I have two of these K6’s (dual 2 ohm) paired with the Rockville DB14 and they sounds amazing! I am thoroughly impressed with the power and the sound quality of these subs. These produce crisp clear deep bass without distorting and they handle the power with no problem. They seem to be very well made and have a solid cast basket which is nice and durable. For the price I don’t think you can do any better. If you are on the fence about purchasing them, don’t be, they are worth every penny! ... show more
