    • Perfect addition to the Bose system that came with my car
My car came with a Bose system, and it sounds good, but the bass is lacking for my taste. it only has a 4" subwoofer again it sounds great, but not loud enough. adding the Rockville RVB8.1A was not only easy but a perfect match. I own a 2014 Chevrolet Volt. The battery is in the back so I did not have to route the power from the front, and the subwoofer is also right next to the battery, so all I had to do was tap into it and connect that to the high level input of the Rockville RVB8.1A and that was it I did not even need a remote wire since the Rockville RVB8.1A 8" auto senses when the radio is on from the input and turns on, and off automatically. I left the frequency all the way to 250hz since I was getting the signal from a subwoofer output already and I wanted the Rockville RVB8.1A to get all the frequencies that the Bose sub was getting, I was not disappointed. And the more I play it the better it sounds I think is because the subwoofer is breaking in. The size was also good and it did not take much of the cargo space. all in all I am very happy with the Rockville RVB8.1A and would recommend it to anybody that wants to add bass to their stock radio, while not taking too much cargo space. ... show more

Nice 8 inch powered subwofer! It sounds bigger than it is. Nice powerful base. But this will not shake your mirrors like the big boys. But you do get a good powerful base that will really improve your factory sound . I think it will impress you.

Good Powered Sub ... It came with everything you need to install ... the only problem I had was on installation ... not very good instructions ... this was the first time I've installed a sub and I had trouble figuring out what wires to connect but I called their customer service and they were very helpful explaining how to do it ... with that info, it was an easy install ... Overall, good solid bass and my very average stereo set up sounds much better ... One thing ... this is not an overpowering bass ... it will make your stereo sound better but it won't rattle the window ... thx ... show more

Installed in my bmw 330i e90 with the TechnicPNP harness for the logic 7 system. $210 all in with the harness and i must say money well spent. Stock systems already sounds great but this added the cherry on top. Also small size gives me more than enough trunk space.

I just wanted something to add back some bass to my sound system. I used to have 2 - 12" subs when I was younger and missed having that good bass. This thing is perfect for what I wanted. It packs a decent punch for an 8" sub. Sounds really good and easy to install. It fit my needs perfectly.
