  • Very sturdy
Color: Matte Black
Holds my phone sturdy, no worries about falling out. I have a IPhone 16E Works on 1”1/2 motorcycle bars.

  • Great Company and works great, use it accordingly and you'll get the most of this mount...
Color: Matte Black
Ok I say use the mount accordingly because of course if you use this mount in a violent environment of course you'll experience breaks like I've seen. I think it depends in my opinion how you're mounting it. How are you riding, are you doing bunny hops, hitting heavy mountain biking etc. I can't speak for those types of scenarios personally but to me this mount is awesome. I've used it on my rides varying from a few miles to 14-15 mile trips and it works fantastic. You don't need to tighten the rotating portion of the mount that holds your phone very tight. For me I left it with a slight give so I could adjust it if need be and even when I hit a few roads through some rough city blocks on my commutes and it held up. I may have had to readjust it, but only slightly and it wasn't a big deal at all. I have a Schwinn road bike with drop bars and it has a set of breaks on the middle of the bars as well but it didn't impede installation. In fact I was able to try different ways of mounting it whether it be the open side facing me or outward to let the brake cable pass. Turns out the best way was the closed side because the mounting bracket had an open space for the cable to pass through so it worked out. Installation was a breeze. You could take out the rubber grips inside if you have insulated drop bars like mine to help with the closing of the clamp. That was what I had to do and as far as losing the cushioning of the rubber grips, the insulated handle bars made up for that. I have an iPhone X and it fit perfectly and held perfectly. For convenience I only used two of four available silicone bands on opposite corners and it held up fine for ease of dismounting it. Not recommended for all because I ride city roads, but that's just me. Also I should note that the two grips on each side to initially place your phone in have spring tension. So it retracts and grips the phone, with rubber backing. The silicone grips didn't impede my ability to use my phone either. It isn't too bulky, it actually looks pretty stylish, and on top of the looks, it does it's job. Again, I mean you can't stick this mount on a dirt bike and get crazy with it, I'm sure it would break, but common sense would tell you not to mount a phone when you are doing X-Games type of activities anyhow. I think the price for this mount is MORE than fair for the product. If you are second guessing buying this, I recommend you not to and go ahead and get it, you'll be happy you did. Not to mention it's easy to register your product with your email and name for a LIFETIME warranty, how can you beat that? Do they honor that warranty? YES they do. I've had a unique situation that had nothing to do with the products structural integrity or repairs, but it required me to use the warranty and I can tell you they were more than happy to help me. So not only is the product great, the warranty is too. This is probably one of my first reviews I've ever done and I've been an Amazon member for a long time. I had to write this because I wanted people to buy something good for commuting and who weren't sure about buying it. Also, because these guys are great. I did not receive the product for free for this review, I paid for it just like anyone else did. Thanks for reading, hope the review helped. Material: quality four stars because it is plastic, but don't let that fool you, it's strong. Durability: four stars because again it's plastic and I know others will try to get crazy on their vehicles, bikes etc. and it will probably give way if you are doing jumps and whatnot. Versatility: Five stars, It more than likely will hold all phone types, even Notes. It opens up that much. And you could mount it anywhere pretty much as long as your handlebars aren't already full of different items like horns, bells, lights etc. ... show more

  • Really nice phone mount, just doesn't fit with the wallet case on my phone.
Color: Matte Black
This is a nice phone mount. It is well built and sturdy. The grip for the phone grips the phone on two sides. The mount comes with 3 rubber supports, each a different size to accommodate various phone sizes. The rubber supports are to slip over the corners of your phone for added support, making it more secure and less likely to fall from the mount. The grip is sturdy and seems to support the phone well, but I wonder if it will eventually loosen. I don't see a way to adjust this grip.. There is a very long screw used to tighten the mount to the handlebar. It takes forever to tighten because of the length of this screw. I like how the mount looks, except for the very long screw that sticks up on the back. Unfortunately even the largest rubber support is not long enough to reach the corners of my phone because of the style of case I have on my phone. I do not want to have to remove the case every time I want to ride. ... show more

  • So far...so good.
Color: Matte Black
12 July 2020 - Review update - As noted in my prior posts, I have purchased two Roam Co-Pilots, one for my bike, one for my girls bike. We have done a lot of riding the past several months. Most recently, we did a lot of riding in the Berkshire region of Massachusetts. The product held up extremely well. There were no issues of the product not holding the phones. There were no issues of the phones vibrating. We did riding on major highways as well as surface roads (back roads). No issues noticed. Very good product for the price. This will be my last post regarding this product unless for some strange reason it fails within the coming year, which I highly doubt it will. Cheers! 28 May 2020 - Review update - As promised, spring arrived here in New England and I have had several opportunities to get out on the bike and test the Roam. So far it has performed flawlessly. The slight movement I was anticipating has not happened. The phone stays in one position. It is a nice addition to have the GPS available while riding. Also, I did purchase a second one for my girls bike (2015 Honda Rebel) and mounted the Roam on her bike just last week. She went on a long ride to Cape Cod and said the Roam was absolutely a plus. She was able to use the GPS function without any issues. The handlebars on the Rebel do not leave too much room to mount the Roam, but I was able to find a spot on the left handle bar that made it easy to view and use. Overall, both of us are very satisfied with this product. If anyone has any doubts, put those fears to rest, I will recommend this product each time the topic comes up. And because I have now 'road' tested the product, I would like to update the overall rating to five stars. Stay safe out there. December 2019 - Purchased this product as a Christmas gift to myself. Was looking for something dependable, yet reasonably priced. Easy to put together out of the box and came with three (3) silicone nets. The Roam is mounted on my 2012 Honda Shadow Phantom. However, weather here in the northeast is not conducive to riding a motorcycle right now. So, any true product review will have to wait until spring 2020 which is why I gave it four stars overall. I did notice one feature that I am not sure how it will effect operation. With the holder mounted on the handlebars, fully tightened, I can still move the 360 degree ball socket with my hands. Not sure how that will hold up traveling on the road. I envision that the phone will move a bit, requiring slight adjustments while riding. My potential fix for this is to glue a small (very small) piece of thin rubber (like a piece of a rubber band) to the tip of the ball (pivot point). My hope is the rubber will keep the phone from moving at all. Also, in order to move the phone to a different position, my hope is it will require the mechanism to be loosened quite a bit in order to break free of the rubber band friction. When the good weather arrives in 2020, I will test my theory and update the review. Oh, one more thing. I will be purchasing a second Roam Co-Pilot this week for my girls bike (2015 Honda Rebel). I am doing so because so far, based on what I have seen, I am confident that the Roam Co-Pilot will function flawlessly. It appears to be very well built of a hard plastic, has 360 degree maneuverability, and is reasonably priced. Stay tuned for an update in spring 2020. ... show more

  • Product is so, so. Company is the BEST!!
Color: Matte Black
I’m rating the product a 3 but the company service is a 10, at least. Read on to find out why. I bought this to use on my Harley to hold my phone while using Google Maps and for listening to tunes via my bike’s Bluetooth. It was very simple to install on my 1”1/4” handlebars. Took maybe 3 minutes to get it clampled down and adjusted. Will fit any size bars due to the adjustability of the mounting clamp. The clamp is plastic however and the adjusting bolt that joins the clamp halves is extremely long to allow figment to variable diameter bars. Even on my thick bars there was way more bolt than I needed so it hung out long past the clamp threads. The thumb screw on the bolt is also plastic and I question the long term durability given exposure to temps and UV rays. The holder performed beyond my expectations on my Ozark Mountain trip. I never was concerned about the integrity of the holder. The “butterfly” elastic wings in combination with the spring loaded phone clamp securely held my cell steady even on rough roads. After the trip I put the holder away and didn’t get it out until I was going to use it on a recent Florida trip. When I mounted the phone holder I noticed that one side of the spring loaded clamp was missing. I looked where I had stored the holder when it was off the bike but could not locate this critical piece. Not really sure how that piece could have fallen off as it is connected internally with a spring that allows it to move and adjust to the width of your phone. Without both sides of the spring loaded clamp I would not trust the holding capabilities of the device. Here’s where the story gets good. Even though I bought this in August of 2018 and the piece went missing in March 2019 I emailed the company to to see if they could send a replacement clamp half. I promptly received a response asking for a picture of the defective holder, which I sent. The next day they advised that they would be sending a complete new holder free of charge. Two days later it arrived in the mail. This type of customer care is rare today. They were easy to deal with, communicated amazingly and seemed genuinely interested in making my buying experience memorable. The product is fine (it’s only $13) as long as the spring loaded cell clamp stays together. But if it doesn’t, this company will stand behind their product. Buy with confidence. ... show more

  • Cheaply made and breaks easily
Color: Matte Black
This phone mount initially seemed great, held phone sturdy and mounting was easy. However it is very poorly made and NOT durable. I ordered 2 and both have already broke. First one the mount clamp broke and the second one, the clamp and screw broke while riding my bike today. I cannot recommend this phone mount. It WILL break and is poorly made of cheap plastic. Look for something better. ... show more

  • Works great, and for large phones, but don't expect support from anyone.
Color: Matte Black
I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max, and none of the options in my favorite bike shop worked well for it. I ordered this, and it’s amazingly adjustable and sturdy. I have no concerns at all that my phone is going to jump off the bike. The adjustability of the mount to fit a wide range of handlebars is great; I hadn’t realized just how chunky my handlebars are, but the widest setting of the mount was perfect for them. The inclusion of three sizes of silicone net is surprising, but assures compatibility with a very broad range of phones. I view the clamp as a nice bonus for added stability and security but I think the silicone net is the main factor in making the phone safe. I suspect the phone would go flying in a major crash; that’s a risk I’m willing to take. The corners of the silicone net can get in the way of navigation on the phone, particularly when there’s a badge in the top left corner for an active background app. Nevertheless I like the silicone net because I think it’s the most secure mechanism I’ve seen that doesn’t require replacing my phone case. I left the review at five stars, but was tempted to move it to three due to the BS offering of support. The device comes with a little card offering a lifetime warranty at a specified URL. Which does not exist. Actually, the entire website does not exist, not just the particular page. The Roam product page at Amazon offers no contact information. If you follow Amazon's links to support for the product you get the information I show in the photo. The website is the wrong one -- it's for Roam pet food. And you can see for yourself that the phone number isn't a phone number. I think the thing that annoys me the most about this is the fact that Amazon blithely publishes this information and obviously is not interested in its accuracy -- a simple check would have rejected the phone number -- and provides no way to even point out to Amazon that their info is BS. ... show more

  • Hopes and Expectations, Shattered.... Literally
Color: Matte Black
I wish I had a good thing to say (ANY good thing) about this mount but my 1-star review seems too high at the moment. And as they always say, "you get what you pay for." It served its purpose for about 80 days / maybe 20+ total rides on my motorcycle. And in my worst nightmare scenario, the mount holding my phone snapped off as I was cruising at 70+ mph. One moment I'm peacefully watching the road ahead and next thing I know is I see my phone tumble out of control, bouncing off my tank and onto the freeway behind me. There was nothing I could do to save it. It happened so fast. I don't know if it was a bump? (didn't feel any) Wind? (shouldn't have been - it was behind my windscreen) Vibrations from the bike? ......who knows? Doesn't matter now. I retrieved my phone and thankfully it landed on the left shoulder. You wouldn't know by these photos but it's a good thing my phone was there to absorb all of the impact, leaving the broken half of the mount looking almost like new. My riding buddy told me I shoulda had it tied down with a tether reinforcement. I guess it's my fault then, huh? Yay, hindsight!! As for my phone - shattered screen, non-functional and currently sitting in an Apple Store getting repaired. I have the damage coverage, which is great, but the out of pocket deductible stings a bit. My motorcycle insurance would cover it, but I don't think it's worth filing a claim for something like this since the damage cost is so low. I need to look into mounts with vibration dampening or some sort of tether that ensures it won't fly off and turn into a projectile that could damage another vehicle or hurt someone. In the end, I'm heart broken, mount broken and phone broken. Even if I could get a replacement under warranty, I don't trust this mount/brand to hold my phone on my bike ever again. I've used other mounts/brands in the past and they're all kinda the same, but none of them ever snapped in half while on a ride. This is the last time I ever use a mount like this to hold my phone on my motorcycle and I hope those who bought or plan to buy this mount will have better luck than I did. ... show more
