I plan to update as I go and I'll be as thorough as I can. We just got it today, it came way faster than I thought for such a huge package, it was the first day in the range of days Amazon said it might get here. We immediately popped off the plastic straps and took a look and even though the box had a few rough spots the unit was spotless. It looks awesome and feels quality but also weighs a lot! We ended up putting ratchet straps around it and the mini pallet to be able to move it with the box a bit easier. Or you can wait to get it where you want it before unstrapping it. We have some pretty cool plans for this thing and I'll add more once we get it installed.😉 So far I'm impressed with the value quality and shipping. Next comes functionality. ... show more

    • Grossly undersized heat pump.
Theres a major problem with this product which people should understand. First this product is actually made for Rinnai by Midea. The manufacturer offers this same tank through ACIQ and Senville but the key difference is Rinnai had Midea use a much SMALLER compressor for the heat pump on their units. A smaller compressor uses less energy and actually has a slightly higher COP rating but the problem is it takes 3x longer for the tank to heat up compared to the ACIQ and Senville version which uses a 1500 watt compressor. Ironically because the Rinnai version has a much smaller heat pump you'll need to run the backup heaters more often and actually use a lot more energy than if you had bought the version with a full size compressor. Often Americans simply research these products and only focus on the efficiency rating of the heat pump and not the actual output of it to make sure it'll be up to the task. There's a bit more you need to pay attention too is all I'm saying otherwise you'll pay a lot mor for a water heater that actually uses a lot more energy than you are hoping. ... show more
