  • Durable in the rain, easy to set up, good picture quality
Very easy to set up and get it connected to the Ring app. Good picture quality, wide view, a few custom settings, like how much motion and see people only or other objects (like deer and bunnies - my favorite). The app and settings to personal it to you is easy to figure out and very user friendly. I think it is great quality for the price, I have a Campro for my deer block, to watch my beauties eat, and the picture quality on the RIng is far superior to the Campro. I bought the plug in type and use it outside, uncovered and just sitting in the elements. Some of the worst rain and wind storms on record where I live and it didnt fall over (I dont have it mounted currently) and I cannot believe the beating it takes from the rain and works perfectly. Came with an extra funky cord I have no idea what it does ??? One thing I have not figured out: I turn off notifications at night on my phone and I dont have it completely figured out as it still goes off when there is motion and it wakes my husband and then he cant get back to sleep. I am turning off notification from the app. So if someone knows how to figure that out please respond. Would buy it again for sure, good price for what you get. ... show more

  • Great. Easy setup.
Had another security camera system. It was awful. Their customer service blamed the poor performance on our wifi. We returned that system and got a Ring system. The Ring system is AWESOME and works great on our wifi. Very fast, very good video quality, and no more clips of nothing. I can connect to the Ring camera live view in less than 2 seconds. The setup was easy, no sync modules, just put the camera up and connect it. The Ring app is great. I purchased the Ring plug in cameras. They have long and even really long cords included. The camera mounts are nice too. So glad we went with Ring. AWESOME. I highly recommend this product. ... show more

  • Excellent Outdoor Camera with Clear Video and Alerts
This camera has been reliable and hasn't had issues with the Wi-Fi connection. The picture quality is sharp day and night. Motion detection is accurate, and the live view loads quickly in the Ring app. The color night vision is a big upgrade and the two-way talk works clearly. I prefer the plug-in model because it provides consistent power without worrying about the battery. Great for home security and works smoothly with Alexa. ... show more

  • These cameras have issues but most can be solved although that takes time.
If you buy a ring stick up solar camera, make sure that during assembly, you push the solar panel cord firmly into the pigtail connector. If you do not see a message in the device health section of your Ring dashboard in the Ring App, that “a solar ring accessory is connected and able to charge this device “, you will need to go back to the connector cord and to try seating it firmly again. I had issues with the solar panels not charging the batteries and actually draining them. The issue may have been my fault for not connecting that cord properly. Thankfully they appear to be working fine now. I’m not sure that these cameras record every action that they should but I’m getting lots of alerts and right now the intruders have all been us as we work outside much of the time. They do appear to have an issue with a weak Wi-Fi signal that affects their ability to record activity so make sure that your camera is located in an area close enough to your router or you will need a range extender. My partner purchased the Ring floodlight camera wired for his home and his Wi-Fi signal according to the Ring app is somewhere around -70 and it always appears to be working. I was told that the number should be less than -50 and my cameras are now consistently below that range. After being frustrated and tired of climbing up and down ladders making adjustments, my cameras appear to be in business right now. By the way, if you have to reset your Ring camera, not only will you need to press the reset button under the battery cover but you also need to scan the QR code on the camera…also inside it. Save your boxes because that QR code is on the bottom of each camera box. It’s much easier to scan that than up on a ladder trying to line the code up with the camera of your phone or iPad. Let’s see how well these cameras perform after a few months or even a year. So far after a very frustrating start, mine appear to be up and running smoothly. What did I buy ? I have 2 Ring Stickup Cameras battery operated w/ solar panels and 1 Ring Stickup Cameras Plug-in all mounted outside under the roof overhang. I’ve had the Ring Doorbell Camera hardwired installed for several years now. I really have had no issue at all with it. ... show more

  • Dependable outdoor camera
This wired outdoor stickup camera has great quality video including nighttime vision, very good motion detection, good sound quality and stable WiFi connectivity. Videos are easily accessible using the ring app including live view. The setup is very easy and the included power cable extension is enough to reach a power outlet. You do need to subscribe to a ring protect plan to access historical videos, but the cost is reasonable that includes all your ring cameras and doorbells. I like the fact that I do not have to worry about battery life as this is wired. ... show more

  • Great little camera
I absolutely love this camera. It was super easy to set up and get connected! The picture quality is wonderful night and day. The ring app is easy to use and understand. We do pay for the subscription because we have multiple cameras. However, it’s inexpensive and a pretty decent deal for what you get. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good camera for outdoors! ... show more
