It took all of 10 minutes for my kid to understand how it worked and even though it’s a little bit big for young age kid, but still enjoyed. I also love it too and it holds my and my husband’s weights so well. We've even took our turns. It took us a little longe to figure out, but none the less we're having fun too. We love this hoverboard! It's a lot of fun to ride! Super easy to use...the deck is large enough for adult feet, it's sturdy and stable, it's got a cool design with lighting and a headlight, and it goes pretty fast! We had a blast riding it around the neighborhood. Takes a little bit of time to get the hang of it, but once you do, you're ready to roll (literally). Kids could easily (and safely!) ride this too since it has non slip footpads. It has pretty bright lights on it so it's safe to ride later in the day...not sure if I would ride around on it at night, but I wouldn't ride ANY device like this at night LOL. The wheels are a good size as well, which helps it be a nice blend of speedy and aerodynamic. They are in a good proportion to the motor. I would say it goes about 3-4 MPH easily with an adult on it; about 5-6 with a lighter person or a child on it. (The adult who rode this was 150 lbs and 5'11" tall for reference) Overall, I would recommend this hoverboard - it's definitely a step up in quality in others that I have used which were around the same price range.
