  • Great item
Color: White
I absolutely love these cameras! I don't have them hooked up to the bridge as I'm just using them for motion sensor lights when I go outside with my dog. I bought 5 and will be buying more! They do take regular D batteries and Ring support says last a long time.

  • Very Easy to Install and Connect to Alexa
Color: White
I have purchased a number of Beams MB360XT and wish I knew about these Ring Spotlights before I did. The price is a bit more than double the Beams MB360XT, but having the ability to integrate into my Smarthome is well worth the extra cost. Also, the Ring Spotlights are twice as bright. I am not able to use Arlo cameras as motion sensors to activate the lights. One of the complaints with the Beams MB360XT is that there is not a way to change the duration and it is quite short. With the Ring Spotlights, i can set the duration within the Ring App or an Alexa routine. Also, I purchased a two pack of the Ring Spotlights that included the Ring Bridge. I did not use the Bridge and I don't see a reason to. If I did not have Alexa's with Zigbee built in, I may have needed the Bridge. I have a feeling I will be buying a few more of these. ... show more

  • Battery compartment won't stay closed, light won't work.
Color: White
Have a Ring doorbell and like the quality and battery life. Needed a outdoor motion light near a back stairs and no power so this Ring battery operated motion light was perfect. Love the quality but the battery compartment won't stay closed after 2 months so batteries can't engage and light when needed. It's like the springs in the battery compartment are too strong and release the lid from the battery compartment. Interestingly Ring wants me to use customer support via Twitter (don't do), Instagram (don't do) or Youtube (is this a customer support channel?). Will update this review when hear from Ring via FB. Update Aug 2020 Ring Support has been very helpful and replaced my unit pretty easily. Hopefully was just the battery compartment on first unit that wouldn't stay closed. ... show more

  • Amazing RING SUPPORT
Color: White
RING FOLLOW UP MY ORIGINAL WRITE UP BELOW. I WAS CONTACTED BY DANIEL OF RING SUPPORT. EXCELLENT FOLLOW THROUGH. INSTALLED THE SMART LIGHTING TRANSFORMER...EASY INSTALL AND CONNECTION TO RING BRIDGE. NOW MY LOW VOLTAGE LIGHTS TURN ON AND OFF VIA THE TIME SCHEDULE, ON DEMAND FROM ALEXA OR THE APP ON PHONES OR TABLETS AND FINALLY FROM THE MOTION SENSOR ON MY RING DOORBELLS. THANK YOU RING FOR RESOLVING MY PROBLEMS. We have 2 Ring doorbells, and a robust ring alarm system. Excellent 5 star products. I have just returned by Ring Smart Lighting Spotlights because the motion sensors did not meet expectations. Reacted to shadow movements during the day, and range at night was less than 12 ft at the maximum setting. Clearly not the same motion sensor technology used in the doorbells... I wanted to replace a pair Mr Beams networked spots which have half the light output 200 lumens, and no connection to doorbell camera or Alert App. Ring Smart Spots motion detection at night was about half of Mr Beams.. Other design considerations, I would recommend motion sensor should have a path to Ring chimes, which alert motion detected by doorbell. Design...Kind of bulky, buy not much worse than 3 cell Mr Beams... NET.....I returned because I could not set the motion sensors to even come close to the doorbells of the Ring sensors in the Ring alarm system in the house.. ... show more

  • Ring products are great.
Color: White
Love the ring cameras - especially watching over our home while we are away. This one is great to add additional light when movement is detected.

  • No more dark corners.
Color: Black
Works great! I use it on a dark side of the house near the gate. Motion sensing and integration with existing RING devices as well. Uses 4 D cell batteries. Suggestion: Grab a pack of rechargeable lithium ion D cell batteries.

  • Very expensive to maintain!
Color: White
Battery life is a huge let down. I've got 10 pathway smart lights and 3 of the spotlight smart lights. I bought these because I have 4 spotlight battery cams and the rechargeable batteries in those cams last so long I thought these were gonna be a great solution for my situation. What a let down! 52 D size batteries to operate all of them very pricey and have had to replace them all once so far. A few of them are half drained again already. They're all on the exact same motion settings to all come on if one comes on and some run down faster then others no rhyme or reason. They are pretty expensive compared to solar I've had solar for years and thought this was game changing but if I have to buy 4 D batteries everytime I get a message that one of them is off line. I was trying not to have to buy a transformer and all the wiring and lights cuz of the cost, but I could have bought 50 lights bought the biggest transformer and paid a contractor to install it all one time for you less than it's gonna cost to replace batteries all year round. And if I want to keep using them I'm gonna have this expense from hear on out. So looks like this was an expensive test because there's no way I'm gonna keep buying 52 D batteries every month just to keep these lights working. Just keep in mind they are very expensive to maintain. Update 2 months later: It's costing me over $84 dollars a month to have , 3 smart lighting -spotlights- and 10 smart lighting -Pathlights- the cost of the lights are much higher than solar lighting options and now the battery expense is astronomical. So consider the cost of keeping the lights working when looking at these lights. ... show more

  • Very effective as an outdoor security light
Color: White
We use these lights at multiple locations for security purposes and to keep animals away from plants that they like to eat. We use both the battery operated and the direct wired version. Battery operated versions are good for use at various locations outside and are extremely easy to move and set up. The direct wired versions are useful for home security and to detect and discourage wildlife from raiding the plants at night. They are perfectly safe and do not harm animals or people. The motion detectors are very good and I have never seen one fail. We have 5 to 10 installed or used around our house. ... show more
