I’m extremely happy with the Ring Chime and would definitely recommend it to anyone with a Ring doorbell or camera. The setup was quick and easy, and it connected to my Wi-Fi in just a few minutes. The sound quality is clear, and there are plenty of chime tones to choose from. I also like that I can adjust the volume to fit different times of the day. This is the smallest big speaker I ever came in contact with. This chime plugs into an electrical outlet, it takes up no space at all, it sounds good, it has a whole bunch of chimes to choose from and its volume can be adjusted to meet your needs. It can be set to sound when someone presses the Ring doorbell button and or when motion has been detected.

Purchased this when I decided to upgrade to a new Ring doorbell, and I really like the compact, the design is sleek, and it’s quick and responsive. I live in a 3 story row house and, prior to swapping to this plug in chime, there was no issue hearing it clearly from all three floors. This new chime presented a new challenge as, even at the highest volume, it was very difficult to hear from the third floor despite it being plugged in on the second floor. The outlet is directly below the original chime box, so I didn’t think there would be an issue with the sound reaching all areas of the house. I wound up switching to different outlets throughout the second floor trying to get it in the perfect spot to “bounce” the sound upstairs. I did find an outlet that was in an area that made it possible to hear the chime on the third floor, BUT it was very faint up there and very loud in the room where it was plugged in - which happened to be my living room. The first night I had it, I was on the sofa minding my own business, and someone rang the doorbell and the chime was so loud I jumped off the couch and nearly peed myself. I immediately turned down the volume and just purchased a second chime to go on the third floor. It’s not a huge deal but, between the extra chime and all the additional Ring devices (including WiFi extenders), I feel like my house is a 24/7 WiFi and electricity eating machine. It would be nice if they included in the description that, while the chime is quite loud, one will not be enough to replace the previous chime for manu homes.

Very easy to set up, it is immediate response to the Ring doorbell. Must have if you have a Ring doorbell. It has different doorbell tones but it would be amazing if you could upload your own mp3 sound :P pr even better have a pool of MP3 that it could automatically shuffle from every time someone rings the bell, something like riffs (Iron Man - Black Sabbath, Black Dog - Led Zeppelin, Purple Haze - Jimi Hendrix, The Trooper - Iron Maiden, Enter Sandman - Metallica, Barracuda - Heart, More than a feeling - Boston, La Grange - ZZ Top, Day Treipper - The Beatles, Smells like Teen Spirit - Nirvana etc etc ) AMAZON PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN, THAT YOU COULD UPLOAD YOUR OWN DOORBELL TONES or HAVE A POOL TO SHUFFLE FROM .

I purchased the Ring Chime to hear doorbell and motion alerts throughout the house without relying only on my phone, especially when I’m away from my device or busy in another room. The plug‑in design is very straightforward—once you connect it in the Ring app and plug it into an outlet, it’s ready to go—and the enhanced speaker makes alerts louder and clearer, so they’re easy to hear over normal household noise. I like that you can customize the tone and adjust the volume, which lets you pick something that fits your space and isn’t too jarring, and the compact, modern design blends in without looking bulky or out of place. The only real considerations are that you need a decent Wi‑Fi signal wherever you plug it in, and you’ll probably spend a minute fine‑tuning notification settings if you already have multiple Ring devices so it doesn’t chime more than you want. Overall, it does exactly what it promises: after adding the Ring Chime, I stop missing doorbell presses and motion alerts when my phone is in another room or on silent, and I feel comfortable giving it 5 out of 5 stars.

This new chime is smaller that my original Ring chime, but perfect to add to a side bedroom wing in the house where you can’t hear the main doorbell well. Chime choices and loud enough you can hear it from the bathroom.
