The magnet that keeps the door closed, fell off and got lost. They sent me a new door replacement -thanks! You need to take the weather seal off around the door edge and apply silicone, then reglue it back on. Also put a small dab of silicone on the door magnet, to keep it from falling off. They both will fall off, in no time. Seals wind and weather out good (not perfect). Best cat door for this I ever had. Otherwise, a great door (5 Cats constantly using it !!!!!), and great customer warranty service. Over All, I would definitely buy from this Vendor again. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This cat door is well made. The flap works well. I like the clear Plastic door. There is only one door. The is one of two cat doors I had purchased. I put this in a fence in my back yard. I have coyote's . So it is just an escape door for my cat incase he is chased by a coyote or ? I plan to buy three more as emergency exits for him. I spent $800 on Coyote fencing on my property; but he is a feral cat that is savvy to Coyote's. But I am a firm believer to close the gate before the cows are gone. You can spend more for for cat doors but why. This is a good quality cat door. The box it comes in is a poor quality and design. But you are just tossing the box when you are done. The other cat door was a PetSafe Wall Entry Pet Door with Telescoping Tunnel that cost $60 . But my walls are 1 foot thick in my house so I needed the extending tunnel. But both are of the same quality. Except the the Petsafe is double flaps. ... show more

Careful if you live in coyote country. We had a coyote enter the house through this large size cat door, I couldn't believe it! If your cat can fit (I think most can) I would choose the medium size...!

I like this door but it usually works except for our large anxious cat. He's turned the locked door into an out-only door. At least the door hasn’t been broken. I love that the door is clear so they can see what’s on the other side which adds to their comfort of using it. Issues: when installed on an exterior door, the instructions are on the outside. I would’ve preferred 2 stickers of instructions for inside &/or outside or nothing printed on it because it’s not too difficult to figure out. To install, use the piece that goes through the door as a template. In position, trace around it then cut outside the line because it flexes during installation. I cut it out on-the-line and installation wasn’t easy. ... show more

    • Fine as a generic cat door but the locking mechanism does NOT work

We purchased this specifically because we wanted to be able to lock our cat in the basement at night so he would stop causing mayhem on the main floor when we were asleep. The first several nights after we installed it, we tried the mechanism that allowed him to go one direction, but not the other, so that he could let himself downstairs but then not come back up. We set the lock accordingly and tested it. My husband would confirm that he had gone downstairs before he went up to bed. Every morning we would come downstairs and there would be the cat, waiting for us. We eventually figured out that the lock wasn't sturdy enough, so since it was only "activated" on one side, the cat would just push hard enough on the other side and push the flap past the lock. So we switched tactics and set it up for a complete lock, where he could not go either direction. We tested it. We put him down in the basement and went to bed. Every morning we would come downstairs and there he would be, waiting for us. He was still able to push it hard enough that he pushed the flap past the lock mechanism. So it works fine if you just care about a cat door. It installed fine and looks nice enough. But if you want to use the lock features and have a cat with any sort of desire to not be locked on one side of the door or the other, this is not a great option. We've managed to find him actually still locked in the basement 2 out of about 20 nights. I would try to get my money back but I don't particularly want to uninstall it and try to install a different one in the same holes, so we're just putting something heavy in front of the door to keep him from being able to push it. ... show more

we only used half of the product and used it in the window. paired with some plexi glass and it works well for our window! seems pretty weather proof so far, but that may change when it starts getting really cold out. our cat also doesn't understand that its meant to open so he can come inside, but that's not the products fault. as for the seller, they have the cutest emails, and really care about the buyers reactions to their products. thankfully I didn't have complains, but I am confident they would do what they could to make things right. ultimately I'm glad I finally bit the bullet and bought this. I don't have to worry nearly as much when my kitty gets out, and I dont have to stay home waiting for him to come home. he gets more freedom and doesnt get locked out. its wonderful! ... show more
