I owned a 28 Gallon harbor freight air compressor for years with several attachments, just recently I got rid of that and bought this downgraded version, I feel bad for saying "downgrade" but that's "only" because its smaller and portable, this little compressor fills up extremely fast and isnt excessively loud, it worked perfectly for doing my leak down test on the engine, filling up tires and running an air hammer, so I'm sure it would work more than perfect for a nailer, sprayer or an impact... But sanding with a palm orbital, you use them for a long time and they suck a lot of air, I'm not going to say no, because it "might keep up" but I'm going to say yes if it's a minor area and yes if its not on max and yes if its infrequent, if it's a whole roof sand, an entire heavy floor sand or something major, look to electric or industrial grade, boy do I wish Rigid made one. It pains me to see bad reviews on any ridgid product, it doesnt matter what it is or who it is as long as you know to stay under 80% of its limitations, and take care of it, dont throw things around and neglect them then expect them to work for you... What or who in their right mind does that after being treated poorly, tools are no different, take care of it and it will take care of you ... show more
