Greatly enjoy this clock, although it took us a while to figure out how much light would be required to allow it to play. It requires a substantial amount of light in order for it to chime every hour. We also noted that the Earth depicted on the movable parts of the face of the clock has no gold, yellow, brown or green earth tones as are depicted in the pictures of the product. We were disappointed because it would’ve been nice to Have other colors besides just blue, white and silver. Perhaps the pictures that were taken reflected a golden color on the Earth From a different light source, but it appears that there should’ve been some gold tone or color on the earth depiction. I LOVE THIS CLOCK! It is really beautiful with the blue earth, the moon and stars. When it plays and opens up, it's moving parts positively glitter and shine. I love the dark wood frame. My grandchildren love to watch it play every hour. I also enjoy being able to press a button and have it play any time I want to hear and see it perform. I wondered if playing it at random times would disrupt the hourly show but IT DOES NOT. It plays on the hour no matter how many times I push the button in between the hours. It does need to be in a well lighted area or the sensor will not allow it to play which is good for sleeping hours. However, if it is too dark and you want it to play, simply push the button and it will play on demand. My grandchildren often come to ask me to play it and are mesmerized. "It sparks joy" and I couldn't be happier! Worth every penny. ... show more
