This is a very easy compression tool to use. The stripper is also very easy, but I've used other strippers for RG6 & RG59. Those have two different settings. This apparently uses the same setting for RG6 & RG59. But RG6 is thicker. Even so, this did a good job with my RG6. And what I also like is, unlike some others, this also has a wire cutter. It's compatible with other types of wire that I probably will never use, but it's good to have the options. ... show more

    • Used to Repair RV antenna cable
One shot project (RV antenna replacement) that unfortunately requires a specialty tool. This one did the job (replace connector on cable through roof to TV). May use again (RVing happens). Others may need to replace the antenna cable as it is sun baked and brittle affecting reception. Installing these specialty connectors without the proper tool is frustrating...I've tried. ... show more

    • Excellent Performance w/Gilbert Connectors
I ordered Corning Gilbert URS 6 connectors separately (for RG6 cable) , because that is what my local cable Internet provider used ! An alternate substitute is the Gilbert EFC 6 . Avoid Gilbert SFC 6 . I also tested a cheap connector with an undersize Blue collar diameter . I smashed that one to smithereens ! Not the fault of the crimper , since the plastic was undersize and soft . Gilbert connectors have an OD of .439" Metal Ring , and fit the tool perfectly . Seating the compression ring takes a lot of force , but the Gilbert were perfect every time. The stripping tool also worked flawlessly on RG6 cable. ... show more
