I love anbernic and have an RG 280V and 35XX H. The build quality definitely felt lower on the RG28XX in comparison to my other two. I ordered, received, and returned two units due to screens peeling off (the second was also incredibly hard to power on 1-40 tries). The one I could power on worked fine, and I loved the small form factor, it was very pocketable. It was also incredibly powerful for its size. The shoulder buttons really rattle a lot, and gave it a cheap feel. That said, for the price, when my RG 280V dies I will consider the RG28XX again, but it needs to have a non peeling screen. ... show more

the number of games are mistated in description, i oculd find only one and it would not work. screen is very small and i dont see how it could be played for long time even if it worked. i sent mine back. very disappointed .

The media could not be loaded. I am blown away by how good this thing is for its price. It comes well packaged and feels very solid in the hands. The display looks good and the UI is intuitive. I got it mostly to play GBA games but it can play games from a variety of other consoles as well. The battery life isn’t what I would’ve expected but it’s not bad, it charges very fast as well. This console has a legitimately hilarious number of games pre-installed. Thank goodness for the "search" feature because otherwise you'd spend ALL DAY SCROLLING through them! This has games from practically every old-school console imaginable: NES, SNES, Sega, PS1, GameBoy, you name it! I did notice that there are no Super Mario/Donkey Kong games, but maybe that's a licensing issue? They have just about every other game I can think of from my childhood—even ones I've forgotten about like Paperboy and Frogger! The color is nice, the buttons work well, the functionality is decent and it's fun... That said, a couple of things to note: - The console is smaller than I expected, and the small buttons/screen make it a little tricky to navigate (must be my elder millennial eyes!). - The games are all pretty old school/basic compared to what my Gen Alpha kids are used to, so I noticed that while they were excited about all the different games installed, they tended to lose interest quickly because they're used to way more functionality/graphics. My husband and I thought it was a total riot to play with (though again, see the note about the size!). Overall, this is a really fun novelty item and will work as a decent substitute for a Switch or other handheld game when those aren't available, but I wouldn't call it a replacement for any of those—and for the price, it's a little spendy for a novelty item.
