The Nex Playground turned out to be one of the best kids’ tech purchases we’ve made in a long time. It’s a small cube-shaped camera that connects to the TV and tracks children’s movements in the room. No controllers, no remotes — the kids themselves become the characters on the screen. It feels like having an interactive playground right in the living room. ✅ Easy Setup Setting it up took just a couple of minutes. You plug it into the power and into your TV with HDMI, follow a few simple on-screen steps, and it’s ready to go. The device calibrates the room, connects to Wi-Fi, and immediately recognizes players. ✅ Truly Active Play What I love most is that this is not passive screen time. My kids jump, run, reach, dance, and move constantly during the games. After 20–30 minutes they’re happy, tired “in a good way,” and definitely more active than they would be with a tablet or phone. ✅ Great Variety of Games The game library is surprisingly diverse. We absolutely love this system! It’s great for younger kids who don’t know how to hold a controller and can control the games completely by moving their body. The game pass is additional but it’s only a yearly charge and gives you access to all the best games to play. There are a ton of character games and my daughter loves the Gabby’s Dollhouse one she can play it for hours drawing pictures and driving the car. We are going to buy a second for her grandparents house she loves it so much! You will not regret this purchase. They will love it and you will love the quiet time!
