Yes these buckets do leak, but they are sturdy and the right size for food. I am using these buckets for a Shark Week pop-up. Calling them chum buckets. A quart freezer bag work great to line the bucket and make them leak proof.

The first order was damaged. They put the lightweight box in a bag (not a sturdy box) which resulted in a damaged product. I returned it.
