Thankfully I haven't been in an accident yet, so ease of retrieval is unknown as of yet. When it works, it's great. However, the cord that it came with has a short in it, and has since day 1. If the cord is even very slightly jostled, it will turn the camera off. I am looking to hardwire it, but am unable to do so myself and would like to know if God forbid I did get into an accident, it will record it without concern of it shutting off mid-drive or mid-impact. ... show more

Got this for my new vehicle and didn't want a 'permanent' mounted one until I see how I like it. It's great and was easy to mount. I leave it plugged in the cigar lighter slot. It turns on / off when I start or stop the engine.

Nice and straight forward, easy to Operate. Only downside is that it won’t support Sandisk memory cards which doesn’t make sense so I guess I’ll have to buy a new memory card..

This is my second camera. For the very reasonable price it gives be terrific coverage of the street. I've had one person back into the front of my car when I was at a stop sign, and another person make a bad curve and ran into my front bumper. Luckily, both times the people either admitted their guilt, or the insurance reps believed my story, respectively, or I could have had big problems.
