[This is the 800 Rocking model, which rocks but doesn’t stay reclined, doesn’t have a cup holder. Reviews are lumped together but they are different models.] [Update a month later: it’s making a bit of a noise when I rock it sometimes. The rocking has got better, a bit more flexible without adjusting anything. I’ve been moving the chair around a lot, in the studio, probably not ideal to do that. Still very comfy, my favorite chair, and it looks great.] I wanted a comfortable chair to double for gaming and for the music studio. I just put it together and I’m sitting comfortably on it, rocking a bit without having played with the adjustment part. I like it out of the box. It’s very spacious, comfortable, and relaxed sitting for myself , being 5’ 4” and 135 lbs. The lumbar support at the bottom of the back is what I need. My head rests close to the top, but not on top of it. The only con I see so far is you can’t adjust the height. I knew this when I bought it, since the problems with other models are the height mechanism breaks , so they saved that issue with this model by keeping it simple. I prefer it that way. We put it together in 20 minutes with the tools provided. The chair looks beautiful and just like the “see it in your home “ function Amazon offers. ( I got the white and black one ). I’ll update if anything changes. So far I’m very pleased for the value for $150. I also received within two days with free delivery. I may get another one down the road . ... show more

I freaking love this chair. I like being able to lean back, but I do wish that it had a lock to not recline. The cushioning on this is good, but can be uncomfortable to sit in for longer amounts of time. It’s smaller than expected as well. This chair is super comfy I like that it rocks. This is my 5th chair from this company the other 4 were rolling office chairs 1 for myself and the other 3 were gifts and everyone loves these. I was confident that this chair would be comfortable like the rest of the chairs I’ve purchased. I think a lot of people probably won’t like the height but the height is fine with me it wasn’t much lower than my regular office chair. Putting it together was simple but putting the top on was a little bit of a pain just because it was difficult to get everything to line up trying to hold it in place and put the screws in by myself I think it would have been easier if the screws for the top of the chair were a little longer ... show more

I'm severely disabled and I was leaning back and all the sudden the chair made a loud snap on one side then the other side snapped almost immediately after causing me to fall backwards. I'm lucky that I seem to only have a small back ache. The back attachment to the seat is only plastic no metal reinforcement plate and it broke on both sides at the rear bolt hole. This chair was ok for the first week but after that it would make a really annoying squeak anytime you moved in it. I had it for about a year and a half and only just recently have a noticed the outer layer starting to peel. You should look for another chair . ... show more

I’ll start with my I my complaint: it is too short. First - the product description says it is 15.75 inches seat height off floor. This is off by 2.5 inches. I measured it. The part of the seat you actually sit your rear on is only 13.25 inches off the floor. So its 2.5 inches too short. That is why the review below shows as it does. The manufacturer has misrepresented this. 3 people have tested it in my home. 4’9”; 5’9” and 5’1”. All three of us agree it is too low. It needs a way to adjust the height or it needs to be set at 1” higher. If you try to use it with any table or desk that is the normal 28” height you will feel your arms get tired trying to rest on the table. It interesting that ages 11-44 and heights 4’9” to 5’9” all feel the exact same way. It otherwise has good back, is easy to assemble, has good reclining tension, and a stable base. It doesn’t swivel quickly. There is some tension in the swivel. I am not sure if that is good or bad. It prevents too much movement but I am used to having a bit more swivel in the hip. Maybe it will loosen over time. Or maybe it just isn’t meant to swivel. Height adjustment would put this at 5-star. ... show more

I tell you... I LOVE this chair! I’m a teacher who is teaching virtual classes and I’m super excited about this over a regular rolling chair! Love the seat because it’s like being in a regular comfy chair and the fact that the arms go up out of your way if you want is FABULOUS! Getting the screws in the arms was a (insert profanity here) but worth the struggle! Very nicely made & super sturdy. Considering a cheap rolling chair is close to what I paid for this I’m very satisfied and feel like I got more than my money’s worth!
