I purchased this for my desk chair w/wheels as my home just had new carpeting put in and working from home requires numerous hours of my chair rolling around the bew carpet The Pros: The mat is anchored very well with the pegs and I have not had a single instance of the mat moving. The mat feels thin and keeping the chair in a singular spot for an expanded amount of time makes me think that it is permanently damaged. But it actually reforms quite decently. Cleaning the mat is easy and can be done with a broom and a papertowel with some Windex or soap and water. Considering the majority of the mats I searched for were upwards of double or more the price of this one. I feel this is a great investment. The Cons: This size mat is not overly large, and desk chairs with wheels will need to mind the edges. If you move when you sit by large amounts, get a larger mat. The mat feels flimsy and keeping your chair in one spot creates a hell of a crevice to adjust out of. This is natural to all chair mats, but this one seemed a bit more susceptible. Verdict: I'm happy with this purchase and as long as you lif t the mat and vacuum under it to help "fluff" the carpet, I have no major deal breakers for this product. I bought the Resilia Office Desk Chair Mat a few months ago, and I’m pleased with it. The 48" x 48" size is perfect for my space, providing ample coverage and protection for my carpet. The mat’s non-slip grippers work well on my low-pile carpet, and I’ve noticed it does a good job of preventing wear and tear from my office chair. The mat does tend to dent a bit when my chair is on it, but the indentations disappear once the chair is moved off, so it’s not a major issue. The mat has held up well to daily use, and while it’s not completely impervious to pressure, it still provides good protection and looks nice. I’m very impressed with this. I’ve never used one before, however, with everyone working at home during Covid, I set up a home office in my spare room. I bought the first one of these the black one in the photo December 2021. Just this last month it finally started cracking under where the chairs wheel are in pieces started coming off. Almost 3 years later, I’m very pleased. So I ordered a New one just like it. This time I opted for the clear one. I bought the black one the first time because all the furniture is black, but it’s such a small room. I thought the clear would work better. Very pleased with the quality, it lasted wonderfully, and the chair moves very easily on it. Very easy to put down easy to clean, the bottom has all these little sharp points to hold it steady on the rug. The clear one in the photo is only been out of the role for about five minutes so it still has yet to smooth out a little, but I know it will. I know it’ll last just as long as the black one.     • IF YOU HAVE THICK CARPET, STAY AWAY!

Without doing much research, I purchased this computer chair mat so that my computer chair could roll easier across the thick carpet in my room. Firstly, the mat came rolled up in a box, and it took it a couple of days to where it would lay flat on its own without a chair/weights to hold it. Within the first use, I noticed that this mat had a huge flaw, the material is not thick enough to support the weight of myself plus the chair on thick carpet. The wheels of my chair would cause valleys in the mat to form, which almost made it harder to roll the chair, and would temp the chair to roll back into the valleys in the mat once moved. After around two weeks of use, I noticed some cracking sounds when rolling my chair up to the desk. At first I thought it was my brand new chair, but it turns out it was the mat. There are huge cracks in the mat where my chair usually sits when I am sitting at my desk. I am very disappointed to say the least. If I could go back I would have spent for money for a quality product. This is not say it wont work for others who have thinner carpet, but for me, this product was a huge letdown. ... show more

    • Definitely only for very low pile carpets.

If you try to use this mat on carpet that isn't very low pile or has any kind of padding to it, you're not going to have a good time. It's made of very thin vinyl, which does make it easy to cut to shape if needed but it also makes it so the computer chair wheels leave indents in the material. The more cushy your carpet, the worse the indents get, making it more difficult to move around in your chair. That aside, the size of the mat is nice. It was shipped rolled up but simply laying it flat and weighing it down so it stayed that way for 24hrs was enough for it flatten on its own. There is no problem with it slipping on the carpet and it is also easy to clean. It does the job of protecting the carpet. For $80, I think it is a bit debatable on whether or not its worth the money. Considering the better quality mats compared to this one can run $180 or more, I think this is a decent cheaper solution if you're willing to overlook some minor cons. ... show more

Mat came as expected. Nothing fancy and does the the trick. Haven't had it long enough to speak on durability, but I will say the chemical smell of this mat is overbearing! You'd expect some warehouse or light chemical smell at 1st and for a small duration... but this smell filled up my entire house. I had to have all window and fans blowing to help dissipate, but nopes! Ended up putting it outside over night for the rain and open air to cleanse that sob. -Updating score because they reached out and were willing to resolve the issue. I left it outside for a few days and sprayed with some standard cleaner and it's all good now. Does what chair mats do! ... show more

    • Cracking less than a year, wheels sink into mat, NOT recommended.
As with other lower reviews, wheels sink into the mat. We have a medium pile carpeting. I'm 5'10" and about 195lbs. So, in addition to the wheels sinking: - makes difficult to move your chair since the wheels are indented into the mat. - mat moves easily - 8 months later and it's already cracking. My carpet is high pile and knew this mat wasn't designed for that type of carpet, but it has worked out well. Over time it will move out of place but not too much of a pain to adjust. Looks good, affordable and flattens out of the box in no time.
