I've noticed some false positives, particularly when it comes to identifying leaves as animals. While this can be a minor annoyance, it's a small price to pay for the overall peace of mind the system provides. One aspect that could use improvement is the notification system. While the Reolink app allows easy access to the camera feed and settings, it lacks rich notifications. This means you'll need to open the app to view detected events, which isn't as convenient as receiving a snapshot or video clip directly in the notification. For those who prefer more advanced setups, the CX410W is compatible with external Network Video Recorders (NVRs) through RTSP and ONVIF protocols. I've successfully integrated it with Scrypted, which opens up additional possibilities for home automation and surveillance customization. Absolutely love these cameras. Have several of them right now! There's no wifi camera with better color night vision at this price point. Super easy to setup and able to integrate with HKSV with scrypted via synology NAS if you'd like.

This is by far the worst product I have bought through Amazon for my entire life. The video quality is not my issue with this camera if you’re curious but everything else is a complete garbage. Reolink App is the worst camera app on earth, you will encounter trouble after trouble every day using it. 1)Once I got the camera and tried to link it to the app I spent literally half a day to try figuring this out and searching reddit and google . 2) wifi connection is terrible it just disconnects randomly and reconnects and sometimes it just disconnects and never connect again unless you delete the camera from the app then add it again. 3) The Reolink app will not work outside my home wifi ( cellular or other Wifi network) I tried every solution they gave me and everything in Reddit and google and it only work with my wifi which is absolutely useless. 4)while working with this camera and it’s problems the camera dropped from my hand to the cable and cut the cable ( by the way the cable quality is absolute garbage) and couldn’t find replacement and even if I do I won’t buy it because it’s going to be so expensive. I temporarily fixed the cable. And now because the main cable (that comes from the camera itself) is cut and can’t return the camera I just hanged it like a decoration outside the house (just to scare intruders) and I don’t even know if it’s working or not. If you’re in the market for a security camera look somewhere else and save your money and health.

I purchased three different model Reolink Cameras. The others are fine but this one is not. The Smart Mode for the light does not work at all. Regardless of any level of sensitivity, or size object, or type of object I enable, the light never shuts off in Smart Mode. As a result my SD card fills up with photos of every bug attracted to the light at night. In 45 minutes I have over 117Gb of flying insect videos As I had other things happen I didn't get this camera installed until after the Amazon return window, I'm stuck with this. My mistake, but take my advice and avoid this one. Update 1: Reolink contacted me asking that I reach out to support, which I had already started. So far in 4 days I've responded 8 times and tried everything they have asked. I've changed settings, shared screen shots, did a full reset on camera, and reinstalled the mobile app. The latest concern was that a portion of the side of my house was in view of the camera, and that reflection off my home was the cause. To eliminate potential reflections, I shut off all of the low voltage lights in our yard, and not only pointed the camera away from the house, but pointed it to a field of trees on a farm behind my home. The trees are about 50 yards from my home and the camera light continues to remain on. I have no plans to use a camera that won't let me have low voltage lights in my yard. This isn't going well Apparently everything I have tried is not yet enough. They are still evaluating and I'm waiting for an update. Update 2: I received a final update from Reolink. This is the response sent to me by Luis: "I will escalate your concern to our senior support team, and they will help you resolve the concern. Please expect an email within 24-48 hours." It has now been one week and no one has contacted me. They did give me a ticket number but their site provides no way to check it's status, which in my case seems like it's closed. I started my review with hope this was an issue with 1 of 3 cameras I bought from them. I have a brand new DOA camera and they apparently don't want to cover the warranty. I now regret going with Reolink. Update 3: Reolink did respond after additional requests via email and chat. They did replace my camera with a slightly different model, at my request. The end result is a success and the replacement camera is doing well. I only wish they could have resolved this sooner.
