  • EPIC Security Camera
Picked up the REOLINK Argus 4 Pro to keep an eye on my jet skis in their trailer in the public garage. Mounted it on a fiberglass pole and it's held up great-semi-exposed to weather but no issues so far. Motion detection is spot-on-catches everything without false alerts, and I get instant notifications on my phone. Battery life is solid; it's solar-powered, so it's been running strong for weeks without needing a recharge. Connectivity is reliable-strong signal even in the garage-and setup was dead simple, took like 10 minutes. Night vision is excellent; I can see everything in crisp detail even with the garage lights out. It's a very good value for the money and works exactly as it should. Highly recommended if you're looking for a solid wireless cam for outdoor gear storage. ... show more

  • Great Camera! I buy another!
Very Nice Camera. The Dark mode is absolutely Amazing. I like that it will indeed track your movements and does lil squares when It tracks. It does indeed Light up to spotlight when movement. It will certainly sound an alarm when detection.. Pros: very nice camera for price. Can change audio from an alarm from BRR BRR to a second audio that says "what ever you want" A video you can capture someone's face. You can zoom in. CONS: It is from China and no instructions what so ever! Better figure it out your self I actually had in my office for 3 weeks You have 360 deg of tracking but has to be manually ... show more

  • Good but not perfect.
I like the cameras, and the picture quality is very good. They were easy to install and charged up quickly. My issue is that they need frequent attention. The auto tracking shuts off every couple of days and have to be reset. They also fail to record at times. So hardware is great, software is just so so. ... show more

  • Don't Buy look at another company.
Garbage product. False advertising. 24/7 recording to Home hub not possible. Recording to sd and home hub not possible. Product touts ability to record 24/7 to home hub. But doesn't. It also states you can record to both home hub and physical sd card. Which is BS. Playback and connection are also garbage. Connection 14.5 feet away from router and home hub through one exterior wall 80% windows and the device still looses connectivity. Enters standby mode and won't live stream without rebooting device. Settings from app and computer software are not the same options or consistent. Motion triggers pathetic. Even on max sensitivity cameras will not record vehicles or people driving laterally an pulling/walking head on to camera and getting within 5 feet. Solar recharge is a complete lie. Even with several hours of direct sunlight the cameras do not last more than a couple of days. Instructions and guidance are pathetic. Company didn't even think to explain options and abbreviations in setup. Icons and images are nowhere to be found in included literature to know if the icon means the video is corrupt or just not available for playback. ... show more

  • Great choice for home surveillance!!
Excellent camera for those who do not want to run POE everywhere and still want a camera that records 24/7. Well designed and thought out. The app allows you to do everything you might need to do for your particular surveillance needs. I have mine paired with the Home Pro Hub. Mounting hardware (screws) strip out very easy so be careful. Battery life is absolutely awesome. Ran mine around the clock for two days just to see how much it would drop, in 48 hours it was around 7%. Ive used competitor products before settling on Reolink and Im glad I did. Reolink is the way to go!! ... show more

  • Image quality is great, a few issues with installation, and battery life is false advertising
Update 1/3/26: A day or so after my review was approved by Amazon, Reolink reached out to me through Amazon offering a refund if I respond with "Full refund". I responded this way and they revealed it was a bait and switch, because they then said that the product would have to be returned. However, they offered to send a 12 watt solar panel for free, so I accepted that offer. They asked for me to provide my address and I did, and they told me to expect delivery in 5-7 business days. I'll update the review as/if needed once I can test the 12 watt panel. Additionally, I noticed that my camera had stopped recording detections and alerting me entirely and the battery sat at 100% for days. I went and started re-painting the non-detection zones and as I was doing it another person came and the app gave me a toast notification indicating somebody was detected. There seems to be some kind of serious inconsistency with the non-detection zone feature. After re-painting the same spots it seems to be working fine again. The biggest reason for this 3/5 rating is because they're lying about battery life. There's just no way it's realistic. I don't even mean in terms of hours, but if you just use pretty reasonable settings you can't actually get this thing to stay on long enough before the battery is close to dead, which kicks in the features to stop it from dying, and therefore you aren't getting the settings you want in reality. For example, you can't set this to record constantly for a porrtion of the week because it will drain the battery too fast. They eventually came out with an upgraded solar panel with higher wattage, which means they're admitting there's a demand for it.. but they didn't put that in this package despite the existing one not being enough. My solar panel is aligned very well in terms of position and angle. I used a gyro and GPS to ensure a high efficiency when placing it. The image quality, even at night, is very good. I don't even use the spotlights on it, however when I tried them on auto they never turned on for some reason. I guess the camera felt it had enough light. Over the 2 months I've had it in operation I've had to constantly tweak things to try to stop the battery from tanking hard, and I've also had to tweak things to stop it from being so sensitive. If I walk out to my mailbox and walk back it records 2-6 videos for some reason. There's no plausible reason it should be doing this based on the non-detection zone, the mailbox placement, and the camera placement in combination with the speed of walking. Other random people will get several videos when uneccessary as well. It's quite irritating getting 2-10 notifications when I get 2 people going to my door or in the area. Speaking of non-detection zones, the unit has reset this two times and started spamming me with notifications as a result. There's no excuse for a unit to lose the settings that I set it to. In terms of mounting: the template for the solar panel arm was not sticky, it was just a piece of paper. The one for the camera is sticky. The camera mount template is also useless because the actual mount extends higher than the template so if you have anything above your camera the template is completely pointless to use. It's easier to just put the bracket and the camera where you want it and mark it yourself. They also have an adhesive on the camera template that doesn't really come off well. So now the camera isn't placed exactly where the template was, and the template can't be removed easily. The menu takes a long time to load in the app, and it always defaults to opening the camera. There's no setting to choose a default place to open. I would like to have that setting. In general, the menu is a bit confusing. It's hard to remember which submenu everything is located in, and you have to scroll down every time and wait a long time between loading various menus in the app. The program on the computer can only open in a window, not in the system tray. When contacting support, the response was pretty useless. The 5 Ghz WiFi doesn't seem to work well, even with an AiMesh node right next to it inside the room closest to it, about 5-6 feet away, with antennas angled appropriately to beam the signal towards the camera antennas. I was thinking it may be the Titanium Gila film on my window, but when switching to 2.4 Ghz it worked fine. The host router and the AiMesh node 5-6 feet from the camera are both RT-BE86U -- so they're very high performing units. No excuses. This is another big reason for the 3/5 rating. The 5 Ghz band is a big selling point because of transfer speeds. It is also reasonable to believe that the camera's inability to intercept 5 Ghz properly will contribute to the poor battery performance.. but it was so bad I switched to 2.4 Ghz fast and therefore have minimal testing on it. Panning the camera in the app is extremely sluggish, and glitchy. It will refuse to go a certain direction and then eventually overshoot. It's very difficult to position it where you want it. When the camera moves it cuts ambient audio a bit in recording and it plays a loud motor noise. It comes out quite clearly in the video and is obviously due to the movement. However, even if the camera is in a very quiet room right next to you, you can't hear it when it moves. I guess they insulated the camera very well but there are noises inside that go into the videos. The weird thing is, early on it felt like the battery was sitting at 100% for an extremely long time, and that seemed to have just gone away and now unless it's extremely sunny every single day it won't stay in the 90%+ range. Build quality of the camera does seem pretty good. I wouldn't mind the cord being a little longer for the solar panel but the main issue is that they didn't upgrade it to a 12W panel. There's also no way to buy the 12W panel on Amazon, which is extremely stupid considering they sell their products on Amazon in general. Who wants to pay shipping or have order history on their separate site? But the bottom line again that I have to reinforce is that this camera is advertising all sorts of great things and battery life, but in reality the solar panel is insufficient for the feature set. ... show more
