  • Great System with great software!
When I went to purchase this system I read on other review that mentioned how good the app was. Boy you are not kidding. Every app, the one for Mac the one for PC and the one for Android on my phone all work wonderful and are so easy to setup! What's more is that they dont look like your run of the mill cheap DOS looking 20th century apps. They all look great. The software on the NVR is also nice looking and very easy to navigate. Reolink really has the software down pat, they really do! The Cameras are crisp and clear and playback is so easy to navigate as well. Im so happy I purchased this system! ( I had previously purchased the Zosi brand system and returned it because it was horrible. Reolink is the way to go for sure!! ... show more

  • Great picture and audio!
The night vision is great. The motion sensors and audio are perfect. The picture quality is crystal clear. Only issue was one camera went out. The others are doing great! The app was easy to set up.

  • Good System, Cheap Ethernet Cables
I really like Reolink. I installed a different Reolink system for my parents and I installed this system at our house. My only gripe is the ethernet cables they supply are cheap in quality. When I installed the cameras, I was able to cut some of the ethernet cables in half. When I was re-terminating the cables, a lot of the individual wires has breaks in the insulation. Although not a good practice, I let it slide since one insulation failure usually didn't line up with another wire, so there technically wouldn't be any shorts and it's not a mission-critical system. Two of the cables I re-terminated worked fine. The third isn't working. The camera looks like it has power because the IR LEDs are on at night, but there isn't any signal to the NVR, so I'm fairly sure one of the strands has broken somewhere in the cable. I have a cable tester on order so I can test it prior to going through the trouble to pull the cable out. Also, the network cables are stranded CCA. Aside from the cable issue, the system is well-built. The client software continues to be updated and improved. I would buy them again despite the cable issues. They're easy enough to fix. ... show more

  • Every home should have this.
Bought this system, and then bought 2 extra cameras in order to use all 8 channels. Easy setup. Install is as easy or hard as you make it. I ran 3/4 EMT and fished the cat6 through. I believe reolink sells mounts, but I fashioned my own. The cameras work great, especially considering the price point. I did have 2 cameras fail about 45 days after installing, but I contacted reolink. They honored their warranty and I had 2 new cameras 2 days later. Just had to foot the bill to return the failed cameras...not a bad deal. Only downside I've found to this system is their app. Not the most user friendly thing, but it works. All in all, I highly recommend this system to any home or business owner looking for an economical and dependable DIY security solution. ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY-Maybe, read my reviews
Update 5: After four years, all the original cameras with this system have died. The last remaining died yesterday. Unfortunately it is cheaper to purchase one replacement camera right now than purchase a new system. It looks like I am stuck with Reolink for a while. Now I am just waiting for the other cameras to die so I can finally change my system with another brand. Update 4: I increased my rating to three stars because it is all working right now. It took almost a month but I have my six replacement cameras. So far they are all working. I am not sure how long they will last. As stated in one of my earlier updates, tech support is slow to respond since they are probably not located in the US. I did ship them the six broken cameras. It cost me almost $30 to send. I will strongly consider another brand if these all go bad again. Update 3: I have been dealing with Reolink support for 18 days. 6 of my 8 cameras stopped working. Tech support takes 24 hours to get back with any reply so you must be patient. Who knows where they are located, probably not in the USA. They sent 3 replacement cameras. I installed all 3 and they are working for now. Reolink says they will send the other 3 when I send them the 6 broken ones. I responded back with a big NO. I want them to send the remaining 3 before I send anything back. I am also going to refuse to pay to ship them their junk equipment. I am already looking at another brand to replace this junk equipment. Update 2: four more cameras died. Still arguing with tech support to replace my cameras. I am down to 2 working cameras (I purchased 2 add-on cameras for this system, 1 of which has died) Update: After seven months, cameras are dying. One died last week and four died today. This system is junk. I have been talking to tech support and they are replacing the broken camera from last week, but I have little faith that this system will last. I have no confidence in this system to keep my house safe. I attached a picture. I had seven cameras, now I am down to two. This replaced an old system by another company. Running the new cable was easy since I used the old cables to pull the new ones through my attic and wall. Even without the old wire, the system would be easy to install. Setting up the system takes a little time but once you figure it out, its not bad. The phone app works very well. Easy to set up and easy to get motion alerts when I am not at home. The only issue I am having is fine tuning the motion sensitivity. Set it too high and the slightest changes in sun light will cause shadows which the system picks up as motion. You will get lots of alerts from your app. See it too low and you get nothing. So, I am still playing with it after a week or so. No big deal. The picture quality is much better than the system it replaces, even the night vision. This is the third camera system I have installed. Two by another company and this one from Reolink. I would recommend the Reolink over a Night Owl system. The quality of the unit and the Android app are far better than what I used to have. ... show more
