Updated after 2 months: Still good. Solid wireless connectivity and great day & night video. Just ordered my 2nd one! I've probably had 15 IP cameras covering all price ranges over the past couple decades. For the price, this camera has a lot going for it: + Great picture quality day and night, sharp picture and good dynamic range for the price range + Above average wifi connectivity health, no drops, strong signal + Decent and easy camera config/menus, firmware, software + A combined super-wide image that looks great, very useful for home security with fewer cameras + Works well with Blue Iris + A cool color night spotlight feature that you can activate by schedule or by people or vehicle detection. Not as good as Hikvision ColorVu vision which costs more, but this camera does have a smart implementation that can help startle any mischievous intruders. What I don't like is the mounting hardware isn't very robust. Easy for someone to swipe and break the camera right off the wall with one hand. Basically cheap plastic as reported in another review here. A metal mount would have been much better. It's a shame Reolink cheaped out on this component, especially if your camera will be mounted where people can get access to it. ... show more

    • Excellent. NOT! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
*UPDATE* DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!. This is a very frustrating device. False alarms ALL DAY AND NIGHT LONG. Then, you go outside to put the garbage out and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Walk, dance or whatever you want in front of it mand nothing. It shouldn’t be this difficult to try to figure out why you’re getting false alarms EVERY 30 SECONDS. You look at your device and you have 200 ALERTS!!!! I’m sitting on my I pad watching LIVE video and nothing is moving and not even the breeze is blowing and there’s alert after alert on screen. Must be ants a mile away. Or it sees breeze. The alerts were so annoying I had to disable them. Here’s what I did. There’s a feature where you can paint out areas you don’t want the camera to detect movement. I painted almost the whole screen and slowly erased a small bit at a time, screenshot it, and waited a day, if no alerts, I erased a bit more, screenshot it, and waited a day. And repeated. I did screenshot so if alarm went off, I’d know the area it was detecting. All I concluded was, MAYBE it’s picking up cars on a side road, FAR, out of range of detectable are. MEANWHILE, I’m adjusting other things like, minimum detection size, maximum detection size, sensitivity if a person is detected, sensitivity if a car is detected, sensitivity if an animal is detected. Then the results are the same. If you want a camera to look out and see what’s going on real time, and you have great Wi-Fi and you’re just too lazy to get up and look at LIVE events, this camera is for you. Otherwise, join me and watch your dog barking at people passing, garbage trucks picking up trash and so on, and NO VIDEO!!! Then again, all day and night false alarms till you give up looking at your phone, the when you do, 200 alerts of NOTHING!! DONT WATE YOUR MONEY DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.. ... show more

    • Awesome Cameras the App is the only major letdown
The Cameras work beautifully, day and night, I'm impressed by the nearly instant recording response, less than a second to start recording, the image is very clear and well defined, the vehicle recognition picks up cars turning onto my street a good 400 feet away. My only complaint is the app, it needs some work to be useful, the playback view only allows for tiny thumbnails side by side on the phone app, which means I have to look at every single recording, instead of a large half page single file thumbnail that can very easily be looked at in a fraction of a second before scrolling to the next thumbnail, a hundred thumbnails could easily be scrolled through in a few seconds, instead of wasting a bunch of time watching each recording because there is no way possible to see if there is actually anything to look at with the current poor quality layout on a phone. ... show more

    • Loses connection, TERRIBLE customer support
I had high hopes for these cameras, but they have proven difficult to set up and unreliable. For initial set up, you actually have to connect via network cable to your router and install an app on your computer, very time-consuming and inconvenient. Once I did that I was able to connect via Wi-Fi and I had the camera set up in my house for several days and it worked great. I mounted the camera outside on the front of my house and it worked for a few hours. It lost connection and I was never able to reconnect. I brought the camera back inside and spent over an hour with a customer service rep on chat. Before a solution was found I got disconnected and couldn’t get back on chat. I tried calling customer support during the listed hours of operation and it said that they were unavailable, and advised to go check the FAQ page. ... show more
