  • Affordable and Solid With a Few Caveats
This is my second Renogy inverter. Do your research and make sure to purchase more capacity than you need. 3000 does not really mean 3000 watts. This 3000 easily runs the air conditioner and microwave in my rv and seems to allow full 30amp 120volt pass through on shore power, which my 2000 does not. Charges great. Not the most efficient unit out there on stand by. Fan is a little loud, but not a deal breaker. LCD screen interface is clunky at best, but unit has plenty of adjustability and customizable settings for just anbout any usage situation. Heads up though- included manual sucks! Settings aren’t even fully explained. I gave up on the remote shutoff. It dies not adequately monitor battery status. Make sure you get a shunt and monitor. Lots of good stuff on set up on the internet though. Blue tooth interface is pretty disappointing and Renogy seems to have abandoned the REGO ecosystem, but you don’t need to use any REGO equipment to use this inverter. Don’t forget about inverter cables, bus bars, shunt, and battery cables when budgeting. Adds up fast. About 15 percent of my system cost is fuses, bus bars, monitors, switches and wire. Tough to beat at $600-$700. ... show more

  • Great Inverter/Charget for the price
The first one I received wouldn't invert D/C to A/C. These things happen.... Renogy was very helpful and we troubleshooted over the phone and they said to send it back. I ordered another one and it's working perfectly. It fits nicely under my Sprinter rear bench seat. I also added the D/C to D/C charger and the Renogy ONE remote screen. Everything works nicely together. ... show more

  • I think it will work well
I'll give 4 because I haven't installed it yet due to the expense of all they extra equipment

  • Missing Cables
It works great for converting solar to usable electrical power. But it is missing cables that need to be ordered separately that makes the Bluetooth feature and temperature gauge work. It's also missing the adapter for solar panel cables and the various cables to connect to a deep cell battery or their own batteries. I bought this on sale for $700, but it's priced at over $1000. For that price, the cables needed should have been included. I ended up going to my local hardware store to buy them individually cheaper than Renogy was offering. ... show more

  • Garbage
Do not buy this junk. Terrible engineering. They give you 1" from where wires are entering to land on the lugs. The termination lugs are not screws, just a cheesy clamp attached to the board which I could easily see breaking

  • Weight & size
When I purchased this inverter, I really didn’t have a good handle on how heavy it is and the dimensions of the unit. I would bet the unit works great, but have no idea because I returned it due to its size and weight. I give it a good rating simply because my experience with the manufacture has been pretty solid ( though service is…meh) ... show more

  • Didn’t work out of the box
This unit would pass power through from the grid but would not invert. Customer service is horrible. Sent everything with the Renogy name on it back and got a blue inverter that is working much better. Warranty isn’t worth anything if the company will not respond and troubleshooting and manuals are far from adequate. ... show more
