    • Solid replacement for an RV / Camper / Travel Trailer battery - but do confirm if it will fit first.
I replaced the battery that came with my Jayco travel trailer with this one. A few things you probably will want to know. The battery dimensions are: 13.1 x 6.9 x 8.6 inch / 332 x 175 x 219 mm - no group size is printed on the battery, if you want this to fit your application, those measurements should help. Secondly, if you are used to seeing the standard pos and neg automotive type posts on the top of the battery and need them for your application - you will need to buy screw in posts separately. The battery only comes with minimal, terminal hardware. If you are using this in a camper like I am, you'll want to make sure you purchase the posts separately. Mine will be delivered tomorrow so I'm not going to advise which ones to buy (yet). Alternatively - you may find that it's far better to just replace the connectors on the camper side instead. Just keep in mind that if you are upgrading from a battery that looks like a typical automotive battery, you will definitely need to update your connectors for this one. The 'battery bolts' that come with the battery that you would typically connect your 'load' to are 8mm bolts. ( M8 x 1.25 x 20 mm ). This battery is a heavy beast and is almost too heavy for me to move myself. If you will be moving it around more than a couple times a year, definitely keep this in mind as it's feels much heavier than the battery that came with my camper... which was a more manageable typical automotive size. This battery has 30 amp hours more than the one it is replacing so that explains it, just be forewarned that it's *heavy*. My battery and battery box arrived undamaged which is a small miracle. The packaging was clearly up to the task, but just barely. The outside of the box showed a decent amount of damage. Battery is made in Vietnam, so to get to me here in Colorado, it passed many hands along the way. I have a small, 1 amp maintenance charger that I actually use for my Jet Ski, but I am currently charging the battery with that. It does not arrive fully charged, which I expected to be the case. This battery should pair nicely with my 300 watt solar panel setup on my camper. I will report back after I have some real world use. Shipping was fast.. as I've been tracking this product for a few weeks now, I've noticed that the shipping times (for Prime) vary from 2 days, to 6+ depending on the day I am looking. I guess it depends on which warehouse fulfills the order, but it only took 2 days for me to get mine. Despite living in a fairly large city, finding a battery like this locally is usually a pretty big pain. No core charge, included shipping. It's a great option. Until you let them run below 50% then they don't really hold a charge after that, I know it's my fault. Will likely buy again or get better lithium ones.

I'd buy these again. Especially for the Amazon price. And when compared to other brands, these are a solid deal. Bought two to expand my 5er battery pack for dry camping. Typically, we have hookups, but occasionally go without. Coupled with the expanded roof solar on the trailer, they make it through the nights easy, and maintain 100% all day even with the 12v fridge running. No complaints. ... show more

I purchased this battery and had it installed ($150 cost) as a replacement for my 7 yr old camper van (previous Interstate battery worked fine). After two 4 day trips noticed that battery was discharging much more quickly than expected after being charged on 300 mile runs. After another 3 trips battery would completely discharge when it sat for a week and would not recharge after a long drive (300 mile +). Took the van to a different RV repair facility & they test ( w/ standard batt charge / discharge load equipment) and say it is not holding charge at all. so, batt is a reject, supposed to have 400 recharges & not working after 40, 8 months. I contact Renogy customer service &submit 5 email explanations , getting a run around about how was it tested & how did it fail. I had the repair shop supply info about how tested & equipment used. Renogy sends me a 8 page doc about how they will not do any refund (or partial credit) unless the batt is tested w/ about $15K worth test equipment, ridiculous. so, they will not stand behind their product when they occasionally ship a reject ( see other reviews) & they will waste a ton of your time providing crappy customer service. DON'T BUY. There are much better batteries out there w/ descent service if there is a problem. ... show more

This thing is an absolute monster. At over 100lb I felt pretty bad for the delivery guy. When I first installed it in my van in conjunction with two 100 watt panels, I didn't secure it well enough and it slid around in hard turns. The simple fix was a 1 inch wide strip of plywood going around all four sides. Now it fits snuggly in place. Connection and set up was a breeze. You don't have to be intimidated by this behemoth. Solar set up with this, inverter, charge controller, and panels can truly be done by anybody. The battery itself doesn't include any post covers for after connecting everything, but your inverter should have you covered there, pun not intended. The heavy duty nylon straps on each end are a much needed and most welcome addition for easily hauling this thing around. As my review suggests, I'm no electrical expert, so I can't honestly speak for the battery power and longevity. It has, however, served me flawlessly for an entire year. It runs my set power refrigerator non-stop while keeping all of my electronics fully charged and even occasionally running a tiny low power space heater as needed. I'm also looking forward to trying it out on an induction hot plate or a mini microwave in the future. I've even used it to run a full-size household vacuum to clean the van. If more money comes my way, I might check out the lighter lithium battery version in the future. ... show more
