I like how you are able to stick the plate to the wall like a regular light switch, but u can also take the switch itself out of the plate, so it is portable. I can switch the light on as i walk into my room, take the switch out of the plate and bring it with me to my bedside, so when i am ready to go to sleep i dont have to get out of bed to turn it off. Its really convenient if the wired light switch doesn't go to an outlet, for example my wired light switch turns on 4 recessed lights. Thats way too many lights for one room, it makes the room brighter than it needs, warmer than it needs, and id much rather turn on one light bulb than 4. ... show more

This works perfectly for mounting a light switch on a wall that turns on a lamp across the room. I bought 3 of these and the wireless signal doesn’t interfere with each other. Also doesn’t have to be line-of-sight, which is tremendously helpful. I can put the receiver behind a piece of furniture and it still receives the transmitter switch signal. The transmitter looks just like a regular switch on the wall. Very clever design. I have 4 stars because the receiver connected to the wall outlet does make an audible “click” sound when turned on or off, but other than that this works flawlessly and looks great. ... show more

The company was great. Our items arrived promptly and in good condition. But we do have a little mystery. We installed both of these in two different rooms in an older house that did not have overhead lights. Both light fixtures were the same. In the living room, everything worked like a charm. In the bedroom, when we first turned the light on, everything was fine. We turned it off and then within seconds, turned it back on. This time when we turned it on, the light fixture turned into a nightlight. It didn’t do that in the living room. We just thought it was strange and didn’t know if it was the light fixture or the switch. Perhaps we had it programmed incorrectly. We do recommend the switches— especially for adding overhead lights in an older house. ... show more

So, I put up some colored Christmas lights in my room, janky commands strips and hooks, I have the lights plugged into the base. Which was pretty easy to pair. Plug it in the socket, and press and hold for a second or so and it begins to flash. And you press the matching side of the switch and it's paired. The pairing last between outlets. So no need to re-pair after moving. The switch itself is light, and a wall mount is included. I don't know about battery life, but I'd imagine it'd last for a while. We shall see. But over all seems like a good buy! ... show more
